MineCraft Account Sales.

Hey guys, my suggestion is as follows:

• Allow giftcode sales
• Do NOT allow account sales unless you DO have access to the original Email address and are free to change the password on the account

The reason I suggest this is because 80% of the account sales I see for them are people selling Hacked accounts.

 

support 110% ive been trying to find a good minecraft account to buy and its f-ing impossible because everyone selling is selling hacked accounts so i cant change the password or anything cause the owner will find out. Its bull i just want a f**ing minecraft account

This is definitely one of the reasons I am suggesting this, as -
1. Hacked accounts aren't allowed on Sythe
2. The seller's are really irritating

 

I have a minecraft account, however I have not played for awhile. I'm not really familiar with the entire account sales and password changes work, however if what you said is true I support. I personally have tried to sell my minecraft account here, I was not aware that after I sell it users would not be able to change password and stuff. It makes more sense to only sell the codes anyways. Support.

 

They would be able to, as long as you were indeed the original owner.

With people selling hacked accounts, they dont have access to the original emails (most of the time) and therefore they cannot prevent the original owner from recovering.

 

I support this as well, I've had two MineCraft accounts taken back.. pretty annoying

You will find that the majority of the accounts with "original emails" are simply hacked emails....

 

How are those gift-codes bought? Like, with a credit-card or something like that?
If so, then it would be pretty obviously, that it was a stolen credit-card, if the seller was selling them for less, than they originally was bought for.

Or is there some secret way to obtain them?

I agree with the restrictions of the minecraft account sales though.

 

Gift-codes are usually bought by PayPal and there is so no credit card information whatsoever stored in the cracked account information. Since people sell the codes for a cheap price, it can be taken as they are taken from a cracked account, but since the code needs to be un-used they are pretty hard to get. However, if you have 9000 cracked accounts it will be more likely that even some account will have un-used gift code.

EDIT: I would also like to appoint that many of Steam accounts in here are also cracked, but you just wont notice the difference at least so easily, because the sellers sell them for a reasonable price, since they all have email accesses. These are usually granted after trying to log in to the email address with the same password as used in Steam.

Then we could think about the moral part of cracking, which I allow myself for so long as the real owner has no bad effects about it. By that I mean using ex. filehosting accounts or playing with Minecraft accounts can be done so long that nobody changes the password or cause any other significance problem to the owner. That is the biggest problem since many buyers are trying to grant the whole account to themselves, which after buying something does make sense. However, it is funny to see some cracked accounts of my, which I have tossed to other forums for absolutely free, are tried to be sold in here. This is pretty funny fact.

I may promise that if someone is interested and in need of accounts, I may give them 100 premiums, but only if they promise to not change password or benefit on them. If Sythe staff needs them, I may give them, if some clan needs them, I may give them. But only for the one option; no password changing.

This is my opinion about the topic.

I see two problems with this -

1. You are NOT the owner of the account, and are selling STOLEN property for personal gain.

2. You are providing others with STOLEN property.

I do not agree with the sale of MC Accounts...
1. Most are Hacked/Stolen
2. Hacked/Stolen accounts are recovered in 2 days
3. People who buy the accounts aren't notified.
4. ITS NOT THEIRS TO SELL!

 

I personally own my a minecraft account. I bought it, paid with my own money. Should I not be allowed to sell it if I wanted?

I see your point of view, but I can assure that accounts that you dont change password or email stand very long. I have many of proofs. I also understand your moral, but even though people know that it is stolen they buy them. So buyers actually accept the fact they are cracked. Also, anyone ho wants the game can buy it for 15$. Crackers just provide cheaper but though more riskier way of getting the game. It just depends how carefully you handle the account.

I think this is a good idea. I have wanted to buy an account before but didn't think it was worth the risk.

On another note,

Reporting does just fine, no need to be an ass and tell him you reported him also. That is mini modding, and about as annoying as kiddies in rs who run up to you and yell, "reported" when you swear. No one cares, keep it to yourself.

He admits to cracking, I'm sure as hell reporting him, and telling him about it. This prevents others from reporting it as well... and you can keep you're opinions about my posting off my thread. Talk about mini-modding.

Otherwise, thanks for the input, knowing that you're not buying a hacked account add's a lot of security.

This just proves my point tbh. Lets get rid of hacked and phished/cracked accounts on sythe, shall we ?

I know, I asked him his sources and he had cracked them, a common way to get them. Reported him, got him banned.
