    Are ya good at math? 8th grade math?

    So I've been missing so much school. cause family issues. and the ONLY way i can pass is if i get my homework turned in. SOOOO i need your help with math. Lol. expalin to me how to do it.

    Rewrite the following equation in standard form (Ax + By = C). Show your work.
    3y = -2x - 5
    5y = 12 + 4x
    11 - 3x = y

    Rewrite each equations in slope-Intercept from (y = mx + b). Show your work.
    4x - 2y = -20
    -y = 8 - 3x
    3y - 18 = 9x

    Use graphing methods to find the solution for each of these system of linear equations.
    y= -6x + 9
    and
    y = 4x - 11
    Point of intersection:___________________
    2x + y = 12
    and
    -5x + 5y = 15
    Point of intersection:___________________

    Solve each of the following systems of equation symbolically. state the method you are using (equivalent forms, substitution, combination). SHOW ALL YOUR WORK CLEARLY.
    {4x + 2y = 10
    {2x - 2y = 14

    {2x + 10y =36
    {y = x + 12

    {y = 7x + 4
    {y = 9x - 6

    For the application below....
    1. define the variable
    2. write a system of equations
    3. solve the ytem by any method - show your work
    4. write a sentence to answer the question

    For a charity fundraiser, student sell button for $2.50 each and t-shirts for $10.00 each. If Scott sells 50 items and has an income of exactly $410.00, how many button and how many t-shirts did he sell?
    1.

    2.

    3.

    YOU GUYS I REALLY APPRECIATE THIS!

    Go to Wolfram Alpha.

    Google it, and go to it.

    It's a math cheat website
    Hope that helps

    Rewrite the following equation in standard form (Ax + By = C). Show your work.
    3y = -2x - 5
    5y = 12 + 4x
    11 - 3x = y

    Rewrite each equations in slope-Intercept from (y = mx + b). Show your work.
    4x - 2y = -20
    -y = 8 - 3x
    3y - 18 = 9x

    These are the exact same problems just about. First you need to go equation by equation putting the terms in the right order. For the first problem first equation it starts you with 3y=-2x-5 and you need x+y=c order.

    So it would be 5=-2x-3y. Just do the same for the next two equations in problem one and make it one equation.

    For the graphing problems, are you allowed to use a graphing utility?
    If so, just plug them into Wolfram Alpha or a Graphing calculator and you will get your answer.

    Or you can set them equal to one another and solve. You will get either the x or the y value. Then plug that value into the original function, and you will have your coordinates.

    For the systems of equations, you have to make it such that if you added the two functions together, one of the variables dissappeared.

    For example:

    {4x + 2y = 10
    {2x - 2y = 14

    If I multiply the second one by a coefficient of -2, it would look like this:

    4x + 2y = 10
    -4x + 4y = -28
    ---------------- (add the two)
    0 + 6y = -18

    Therefore, y = -3

    Plug -3 into the original:
    4x + 2(-3) = 10
    4x -6 = 10
    4x = 16
    x = 4

    Therefore, your intersection/solution is (4, -3)

    Pretty easy questions u just add the coefficients on one side to make sure the whole equation equals to zero for example 3x=-3y+6 in the form of ax+bx+y=0
    would be 3x+3y-6=0 (add 3y to both sides the right hand side cancels, subtract 6 from both sides again cancels out the +6)

    if u need more help try khanacademy its a online free non-profit website that gives tutorial on solving simple algebraic equations.

    hope that helps!
