Chaotic Kite vs. DFS?

So I'm currently botting this pwnage account to own my friend in the Duel Arena.

It's gonna be maxed melee, range, mage, 52 pray.

120cmb.

Anyways, it's gonna be no prayer, pots or food, but I need the pray to help do quests for the barrows gloves and for jad. Only melee.

Armour setup so far:

-Full Torva
-Fury
-Chaotic Rapier (Will also have CLS in inventory, dunno which one would be better for this situation in the duel arena...you guys decide)
-Chaotic Kite vs DFS? (Will also have a dragon defender in inventory, will be switching between defender + main shield)
-Fire Cape
-Barrows Gloves from RFD
-Dragon Boots
-Berserker ring (i)

Any equipment changes? And also my main question, chaotic kite vs DFS?

Chaotic because of the damage soaking abilities...dfs is good but its overrated.

 

Yeah that's what I thought... 7% damage absorbtion > 7 str

And Chaotic has better defensive stats.

Any other equipment recommendations?

 

I have chaotic kite, and to be honest I regret everything about it. It is good for tanking once in awhile but I would prefer DFS over it any day. The DFS gives great strength bonus and has pretty good defense stats. That chaotic kite just looks really cool and is really defensive. If you are already high defense like me chaotic kite is worthless. However it would look really cool with torva.

 

Yeah Chaotic every time. Also, don't use CLS in Duel Arena, use Rapier. When Soloing in GWD, CLS pwns though, due to Bandos being weak against slash.

 

Since you're fighting armor on, use the cls. I'd probably use a dfs since for the str bonus and with torva the extra 10 def isn't that important, but depending on your spec wep, the cks might theoretically be better. Also, you might want to use a recoil instead of zerker (i).

Also, switching defender to shield is a pain in the ass, good luck.

There is a reason CKS is free and DFS isn't

 

I have both the kitesheild and the dfs, in a duel where there is no food defensive will be better then a few extra str. It will help stop lucky specs, and high hits. Plus with torvas absorbing + the kite, it will further stop the high hits. Over all i would say since you don't need the quick ko like with pking where they can eat go with the steady hits. Plus with torva you get extra strengh already, higher hp.

 

what makes you think cks is free?

the time it takes you to earn enough tokens for it you can easily earn enough cash for dfs.

 

I was going to say the same thing lol, but you beat me to it. In the time it takes to get chaotic kite, you could buy like two dfs, plus you have to charge the kite.

 

That is under the assumption that you are getting 80 Dung and then getting only a CKS.

Since OP has 2 Chaotic weapons, AND has the option of using CKS, their Dung level is definitely high enough for the 200k tokens for CKS to only take a few hours.

After my second chaotic, the others came like nothing. And I wasn't even a power dunger back then.

Tl;dr CKS takes a few hours to get with the appropriate dung level, which OP obviously has. The rest of the world would have the appropriate dung level, too, if they did it by hand instead of botting for 7k-20k XP an hour like fails.

 

Who is the true loser, the kid who bots for 20k xp a hour, btw i get over 35k xp a hour, or the kid who sits there for hours to get it ? / comment

Also 2m xp i doubt only takes a few hours, plus clearly he is botting, plus with zerker ring (i) the str is basically already made up. I know many mains that do not have that. Personally in a no food duel i rather stop the guy from hitting me, then hit for 30 more dmg.

CKS is definitely better, whenever my 137 friend stakes and they try to scam him and pull out a DFS, he pulls out his CKS and wins all of the fights vs a DFS.

If you can't afford an Ely, get a CKS.

yea never thought of that if you have enough money a divine, or ely would prove amazing. Although the dfs spec may help.

 

Pretty sure divine only works with pray on. Ely would be good, but the OP said only 52 pray.

Yeah Ely works in "prayer off" duels.

 

Never knew only time i could afford divine, i blew it all on skilling, and bandos claws ect. Worthless 99 construction, smithing, prayer, and 94 herby ftw.
