To clear that up, silencing and overlooking/sidelining something is quite different. I could make a suggestion and forget about it. This is a great suggestion and I support.

That's understandable. Plus I do understand majority are volunteers so it makes sense why timelines would be longer.

 

Support. It's crazy seeing the exact same ad in each section. Then you go to the account sale section and it's just littered with their ads and they have one account in a spoiler. Then that account being advertised is probably long gone. Tbh auto bumping should be revisited and if the account they have posted sold they need to update it or stop bumping. Joined one to be told "it's sold but we could build another for you in a weeks time". Then remove the post until it's ready. Just farming post count at this point.

 

Agreed. I just stopped bumping my 20-def pures thread cuz im sold out. I feel weird cuz my stakers thread can only ever have like 2 or 3 varieties, but at least my offers are legitimate.

I wonder if there maybe should instead just be a rule banning generic 1-image-fits-all offers. Posts should be required to have unique images tailored to that offer. Its obvious when somebodys actually trying to sell something versus somebody whos just taking advantage of postcount to blast their adverts and syphon legitimate customers to their discord/website where they may not even have what they advertise stocked anymore.

 

100%. Also respectable that you are not like the rest and just keep bumping threads to accounts they do not have. I agree that posting pictures of accounts and even saying "stock photo stats and quest will vary" should also be part of this. If you can not take the time to post the actual photos of what you are selling then you shouldn't post it. I get 80%+ of the people post in these sections are shops/stores but you should be held to same standards as every user and post appropriate pictures.

 

I think if there was a rule that said your website/discord/sythe must all be up to date. You cant just have one with links to the other. If you have 20 pures on your discord for sale they should all be in the right thread as well.

 

Support, I'm not up for misleading advertising for consumers trying to find specific needs.

 

I agree with Corby and BMF. This touches greatly on what I mentioned in my report and in this thread. The page listings are completely misused. Corby sets a great standard on how I would expect listing pages to look. Not these completely obvious funnels to discord servers and irrelevant services to where they are posting the product.

Am I looking at an account thread or a thread that is advertising COX boosting, fire capes, questing, etc? Who knows.

I get you and this is part of my gripe on the view many of us have.

I get people want to do services, i get people want to sell gold, i get people want to become the next macho man millionaire over night and all. At the end of the day, although what @Pirate has said is quite true (more so a grey area if you ask me) we have had similar situations where in the past when a few of us worked for a guy who you may or may not know called "Bus369" we wasn't allowed to actually sell our own stock as we wasn't deemed "trusted enough to sell our own" as staff at the time believed it would be the stock from the website/owner instead. Now days you just see people posting accounts on behalf of others for a commission pay the same as you do name sales and such, it's just sad how it's all fell to what it has.

 

Anything in the works for this suggestion? Now 10 days without a response and lots of support. Can we implement?

Bump. Staff please take this up and vote on it. It is crazy going into a market section not OSRS or RS related and yet every post in that section does not even match what they are advertising.





I never knew Destiny 2 had OSRS items in it.

 

It's because he wants joins/more clicks to his threads.

We see this so many times yet no one does shit, i could name probably 10-20 people who do the same. @Dzeny was one of them.
