Do Not Use Prepaid Credit Cards on Paypal

Paypal no longer processes payments made from prepaid credit cards attached to paypal accounts. I've had a couple customers get their payments denied, and I thought they were flukes, but after a new customer today had his payment declined, he called up paypal and they told him to tell me that I should tell my customers to stop using prepaid credit cards with paypal accounts.

Thought others should know too.

Moneypaks seem to be the best option for those who used to rely on prepaid credit cards to make paypal payments

 

I tried buying gold from you a while back, perhaps that seemed to be the problem. I guess people will soon find a way to get around it. Thanks for the heads up.

 

Cheers for the heads up, i guess this way all Credit cards will be able to be traced back to an actual bank account, hopefully in the long run this will help gold sellers who have been charged back to get their IRL cash back.

 

Nooooooooo... i always went out and bought prepaid cards from 7-Eleven... Looks like i'll have to sell gold now or something...

Most likely that was the problem I had with a trade yesterday. He did not refund the RSGP tho so... HAMMERED!

I don't think so, as prepaid credit cards and debit cards fall under the same category.

so you simply can attach it to your paypal but not send money with it ?
if it were so, then it's just stupid!!

 

no offence, you cannot be declined, unless however you have no money on the prepaid credit card, if you have money on it there is no reason for it to be declined, so paypal are stupid, exept im not sure you can send money with a prepaid credit card, i think you can only pay using a prepaid, from a buy now button, or a donate now lol

 

Debit cards will still work.

I've been using Prepaid Cards to this date, nothings ever gone wrong with my transactions..

 

That really sucks. I depended on the prepaid credit cards a lot. Whenever I wanted to buy something via Paypal, I find the prepaid credit cards more relevant and smooth to use. Paypal, you suck.
