Need help picking a gift for teacher!

(Im not sure this is the EXACT place to put this so sorry if i posted this on the wrong section)

So i only have 2 days left of school and i want to get my World history teacher a gift because, to be honest, he is one of my best teachers i have ever had ever. So i want to give him a present of appreciation but i cant really think of what to get him... so i need your guys suggestions. He's a world history teacher and a basketball coach.

Not going to buy him anything over like 20$ lol, even though he's the coolest teacher ever, i dont want to spend to much money :p

so if you guys have any ideas that would be a great help! Thanks!

When I was young my mum use to always go around giving box of chocolates to all my teachers; I'd recommend this if you'd like to give a gift.

Keep in mind, it is actually not allowed depending on which school you go to for teachers to receive gifts from students. One of the students in my school came from AN INCREDIBLY wealthy background. He wanted to give his favourite teacher a Rolex watch, however the teacher declined, and said he couldn't accept it as it wasn't allowed.

So just keep this in mind, which is why I think a box of chocolates is your best bet, as while it is a gift, it's one that suggests thank you and isn't as easily misconstrued to have ulterior motives.

Well, you could just Give her a note of appreciation. I mean that would last a lot longer than chocolates and what not. And in my opinion It would mean a lot more too.

I gave a teacher a whole bag of apples once. Kind of like the old school apple for the teacher thing, but I was kind of more of a joke/for humor, yet still showed the appreciation.

If you want to make a little impression, you could get your teacher a joke gift and a little decent gift. In my school when we left in 2005, our science teacher was the best teacher the class had. His last name was Podoodle so as a joke the class got him a Pot Noodle which we all signed as well as a box of chocolates and a card.

On the other hand, if you know someone who is good at art, why not get a basket ball which you could probably pick up quite cheap, and then get a decent drawer, to draw over the ball in permanent marker to make it look like a globe, then get the class to sign it. Should only take ~1h's work max and it could be classed as a very thoughtful present.

The basketball globe sounds like a really creative and awesome idea.

The only present I've ever gotten a teacher was a plant. He was thrilled and kept it for 2 years.

Then again, I wouldn't give a plant to a teacher who didn't smoke.

I think this would be more appropriate in Personal Support.

Buy him something corny like a mug or T-Shirt. He will remember you better, and maybe even place it on his desk or use the mug / wear the tie, making your memory last longer.

Chocolate for a male teacher coming from a male student would be kind of weird in my opinion.

A thank you card can be a good option. Teachers often get fed up with students that don't care about school, so telling him how much you have learned from him would make him feel good.

A note would be a lot better, with something such as a small $20 mini-fridge you can buy from your local department store; that he could use during work.

Buy him a new car, great gift for teachers. Buy him atleast 2 years free gas as well, since 1 year would make you look pretty cheap!

If he needs a globe, then a globe. If he has a globe, then an inflatable globe lol. Also this thread needs to be closed. OP asked on the 28th and question needed to be answered within two days.
