I'm on a smudging kick recently!

Moar effects, the tag is empty sans the poorly smudged smoke looking effect. The text could use better placement and your color scheme needs work. Keep at it and practice your basics.

 

I really liked the foggy look, I brightened it a bit more and messed with the contrast settings.
I moved the text and worked some more smudging into the tag.
What else do you suggest?

 

It seems rather blank. Anyways, the picture really ties it up. The only thing I don't like is the your character is just staring straight down. I think it would look cooler, at a different pose.

The way you used the smudging brush isn't working. Your smudges aren't smooth and don't flow well. You really need to work on depth and flow. Your character is vertical, but the 'fog' effect is at an angle which counters the flow. I suggest reading more tutorials.

 

I just uploaded Version 3.
I got a little creative, did I over due the smudging?
I tried to change the Smudging settings to get a little different outcome!

I love version 3 personally. It makes it stand out a lot more, although everything could blend together a little better.

 

I like all of them but the position of the text in version 2 and version 3 seem out of place to me.

 

Version 3 turned out great I tink too. It does look a little scattered, so I tried removing the ribbon in Version 3.1 and sharpened the face of character.
In Version 3.2 I added opacity to the ribbon.

3.2 is a lot better. The overall blend is a lot smoother in 3.2. Very nice
