Just a warning.

I've not seen a thread about this, I just received a seemingly legit e-mail from the sender named "Jagex Ltd" ofcourse I assumed it at first to be a simple phishing attempt, when I noticed it said I had recieved an infraction for botting and since I have been botting I got worried, then realised it makes no mention of my username at all, logging onto the main runescape site and checked my infractions, in the safe zone, heres the e-mail, so you can look out for. I'm an experienced Web user and I was almost fooled by this.

I get 3-4 a week

 

When I played WoW I got shitloads of WoW Phishing attempts and I guess since I'm just back into Runescape I'll be getting loads of phishing attempts. ah well, thanks for the input

 

Ya once you give one gold selling website your email, you can bank on loads of spam. I get literally at least 5 emails a day from gold sellers

is the email address the same as jagex's?

 

i've received some of these too, But they're obvious phishers

JAGEX WILL ONLY CONTACT YOU VIA YOUR RUNESCAPE INBOX

 

These are super annoying, I get tons of them. But I have checked the official RS forums and Jagex has confirmed that they do send out some emails, but nothing about this sort of thing.

 

This is why you keep your Paypal, Forum Accounts, and other Emails different and keep your main one private.

On a day that i might be out of it, i would have probably clicked that and logged in

 

i get like 4-5 of these a day:/ I'm pretty sure its some1 on my msn list but can't figure out who it is
