I was thinking about building another computer to be able to run more bots. What do you guys think of this setup and how would it perform?

Not that great of a build man. How many bots are you looking to run? Also, NeXus, Powerbot, RSBuddy etc?

 

It's an alright machine. I'd save up and buy an Alienware desktop if it was me.

Newegg is a legit site compared to Ebay.

Alienware is so overpriced... Just saying. Building your own PC could save you thousands instead of buying from alienware and you would have the same specs.

Are you really building a computer so you can bot? Come on now man that's pathetic. Your build is absolutely terrible for this anyway. Your ordering things that are pointless and will not effect your bots in any way.

 

You need an i7 with 8 gigs of ram and then you can run a decent amount of bots. My computer can do 20 so i dont have to fuck with any vps bs.

 

are you going to be using it as a desktop too or just as a botting computer?

idk how nexus compares to powerbot, but powerbot runs 12 bots with very little lag on my system with amd sempron*/4gb/ati radeon 4550 512mb
15 bots is the limit. that system would cost like $200 if you buy all of the parts.
(personally i would build two cheap computers with 4gb of ram each.)

if you want just one, i HIGHLY recommend getting 8GB of ram and a 64 bit os, for maximum bottage.

i'm doing the same thing you are.

id recomend a different motherboard though, with max ram up to at least 16gb i'm going 8 because cash is tight right now.

 

I got my comp from Newegg and its been great, you could spend some extra for alot more power though.

 

Well I just got scammed 500m by someone on this site so that might cut my budget back a little :/

Anyone want to suggest an alternate build and its cost and how many bots it could run?

You're going to want an i5 or i7 with 4-8gb of ram. Then buy the cheapest possible parts that match your ram and processor build.
The worst thing you could do is bottle-neck the system aka have a really power processor that can't perform because you don't have enough ram.

 

Build your own and save yourself a ton, get EXACTLY what you want. Pre-built machines are normally built with cut corners like a cheap motherboard with a fancy graphics card, cpu etc. When you build your own you can put whatever in it and be 100% custom to your needs.

This is probably the dumbest post i've ever read in my life.
You realize this computer isn't JUST for bots, he's not going to just run bots on this computer, and use the other computer to browse lol...
The computer is also an investment, not just a computer. Running 8-10 accounts can make back the $400 EASILY.
Think before you post in the future..

 

Get a larger power supply.
Also, your HD is VERY small.
Small HD is good if you're ONLY going to bot, but if you're going to do other various this, school/bot/pics/movies/music, then get a larger one.
A 2tb HD (Over 10x the size of the one you're looking at) is like 90bucks on Tigerdirect.com
