feel like my life is faling and this is why.

ok so im from scotland and im 16.

left school with a few standerd grades, recently emailed the school to go back and try and do highers but there has been no reply.

im at collage and im going to fail the course but my lecturer is focosuing on other students and i feel frustrated beacuse i dont have a clue and i want to finish it but its not going to happen, if i fail what now? my parents and family will be so dissapointed im only 16 so its not to late? some freindly advice would be helpfull.

if you do go in there and tell them you want an apprenticeship in something?

what course are you doing/interested in doing

 

I'm from Scotland aswell mate, don't worry you're not failing. There are plenty of Courses/Apprenticeships for you to attend. A good start to make would be searching this website.

im currently doing NQ electrical engineering, but im failing it but im only 16 i dont really know what i want to do i just jumped right in the deep end, thanks guys! and airia ware in scotland you from man?

 

go talk to ur lecturer privatly to get moar help if not then ask a fellow classmate, to tutor u or something.

 

its too late now, but i have no idea what to do and i also suffer from dyslexia and only recieved help for about the last qaurter off the course.

 

If you try and get your head down to study a little more and perhaps do some follow-up reading about your course then you will have a better chance of succeeding. Also, im from Falkirk but currently based in Canterbury

I have done 2 qualifciation's in electrical engineering and 1 in domestic electric
and the math's side sucked :O i did it at 19-21

Best thing to do is just think can you see yourself doing that job/trade for the rest of your life but yeha you chose the hardest trade to learn lol but relax ur 16 on average people go through 8 diffrent job's before they settle down.

If your wondering whether it's too late to go back to school, it's not. At 16, there door is half open, however it is still open for you to re immerse yourself back into school life and ascend back to what is classified as an average, or better yet a model student if you have a hard-work ethic.

That being said, whether going back to school be the best choice for you is something dependent solely on your personality, as dropping out is a big pivotal event in your life.


Do you have a hard-work ethic? Rejoining school will certainly require at least a moderate amount of this as you'll need to learn what you've missed, and then consolidate what you've now learnt in short succession.

Apprenticeships also require hard-work, and let me tell you from Australia's point of view, you are not out of the ordinary for leaving school and deciding on an apprenticeship.


In all honesty, I would recommend you try go back to school, and instead of simply emailing, go right up to the head, or the office and confront them about rejoining. I believe school in this current age is vital for any person, as so much of current society is based upon western certificates and educational merits, which account for simply a piece of paper. This paper however enables you to unlock many pathways for you life, and if you still want to become an apprentice in a certain field, school does not close that door, it merely opens more and expands your horizon as to what you can/should but more importantly want to do.
