I just updated RSBot, and scanned it. I doesn't seem like it has a virus at least.

 

No, version 2.44 has a piece of code that will try to BLOCK you from using RS buddy. THE CODE WILL NOT STEAL YOUR PASSWORD OR ITEMS. http://www.shadowscripting.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&p=78722

 

Shouldn't be detected by an AV unless it's detecting the HOST change...

It also logs all your usernames + passwords you use to login(not talking about saved accounts) , and sends them god knows where , you can find it in my documents/rsbot/settings/uid.txt , it contains usernames and encrypted passwords

 

Don't start too many rumors, go through the code if you feel so obliged, but the "I heard it may do this" crap is kinda old, even if it is powerbot. The best place to look if powerbot has any kind of hacks or anything is idungpro boards and rsbuddy. If either of these places have actual proof shown in the coding, they would post it to high heaven, Idungpro to warn its users, and RSbuddy to try to convert people from powerbot to them. Powerbot has an open source code, if something becomes malcious in it people will find it. People check the code in it every day, try not to worry too much.

Well, i didn't ever enter my main's info onto the client, just got taken for 500m.. 1/3 my bank.. idk why i wouldn't be cleaned though? if iceforg is right… seems logical to completely hack though not just take 50m+ a pump lol?

 

the uid.txt document only had my accounts i had put into the bot client and not the account that got hacked?

 

Regular scanning doesn't help unless you check the code and know exactly what your looking for. I've logged onto RSBots.net auto's and have no had any account problems, that was 2 weeks ago and the account is still perfectly safe.

Pain, apparently mac doesn't have a windows folder, thus no "host" folder. As i was told you don't have anything to worry about. I still can't access rsbots.net (idk if related)

 

rsbots.net has nothing to do with this this is talking about RSBOT or POWERBOT (same thing, they were rsbot but changed to powerbot) Rsbots.net is something completely different.
