Leechers (newcomers) that trade on sythe

You should set up a free skilling service or sell upgrades or do firecapes/quests what ever and i recommend that you find a really trusted MM that is free which you can use for all your trades, never go first to someone who is not a moderator on this site.

Well theres obviously going to be people on this site who come and think 'oh everyones an idiot i'll be able too get some easy money' but you would have to be an idiot to go first to these type of people.

 

I'm new here so I can't really say anything about newcomers. :L

But I do go first to trusted people and have no problem using MM's/OMMs, lol

But yeah. When I'm buying microsoft points and people with 3 posts that joined may 2011 say "not going first to any1 or using mm cause i get scammed"

It's pretty pathetic.

 

I sold my main lvl 138 acc maxed in all stats and ha, i had no problems. So go die in a corner lol

 

I've been a member of sythe since dec 2010 and I really didn't start making trades until...feb-march.

I think my first vouch was buying a upgrade

 

My problem was initially I fitted your description exactly. I found no way to get trades without offering to go first myself, so out of my first 10 or so trades I got scammed about 50% of the time. I think that avoiding getting scammed comes with experience, and I guess an upside of a fair few of my first trades being scams was that it's taught me to be vigilant, as I now haven't been scammed for a long time.

I think that one major flaw with Sythe is that it is hard to become established as a legit buyer/seller, if you're new to the site and don't really know what you're doing. But this slight initial disadvantage is cancelled out as you work your way up the player hierarchy, as it soon becomes easy to make safe/secure transactions.

 

hey im a so called leecher and yea i can see where your coming from but i mean how else do you expect us legit new people to start out? even when i tell buyers that ill use an omm/player auctions or if they go first but 99% of the time its people with like 2 vouches and alot of posts i obviously always deny them since they keep asking me to go first and dont want to use omm or PA a few days later i see them banned haha . it sucks tho it makes it harder for us newcomers to start out ive made 3 sales and 1 purchase from some highly trusted members but ive been working at a loss just to gain trust :L

 

Yeah, a lot of people don't go through finding a MM or OMM to do trades, and it really is just about how much respect and trust a person has gained on this site... I personally only trade with trusted members, as if you ask anyone I trade with, I gladly go first, not because I am no scared to get scammed, but because it is more of showing respect to them by saying, you have earned the respect I am showing here... Idk that's just me and my militaristic attitude... That's what the army does to people I guess, lol.

 

80% of newcomers are ban evaders. Trust me, when i was a newcomer no one responded to my sale threads. Post count means nothing. There was some guy with a Mar 2011 join date and 500+ posts....and he was banned. Money can and WILL corrupt anyone.

 

It's very easy to avoid being scammed, just use a middleman who you trust (ideally a mod) and don't go first to newcomers.

 

Oh the irony, i was the leecher, but HE was the one who recovered his account....

Some people would say I'm overcautious, but on the internet there are so many things that can go wrong.

People aren't generally likely to mug someone out in the open, why do they then have no problem stealing online? It really does confuse me.

But anyway, that's my two cents.

 

Find out their msn, google their msn.

Yeah one stole 8m from me when I was buying a pin.... It takes me like 5 hours of botting to make 8m.... It is a pathetic excuse to be banned.

There really are people out there who just don't trust anyone. Idk why you get upset by these people; just don't trade with them?..

 

Everyone is a new comer at one point, but many of the new comers who make post like the first example are just ban evaders. No one just sits there for months, and "learns" about sythe then comes to sell one thing. Its funny how new comers always know about omms, but never trust them.
