RS Botting Awareness

Any one hear about this? It's on the RS FB page.
EDIT: They are talking about the Friday and Saturday night, going around RS worlds and reporting people that they *Think* are botting.

 

There are to many bots for them to do anything. I'm not scared, if they ban one of my level 3s, I'll simply remake a new one and bot it back up.

 

Honestly they have a lot of people that go to this and they do it for many hours. They'll hit every relatively common public place on many worlds so don't think you're safe just because there's so many spots and so many worlds. Noobs will do anything to be near a jmod


Take a few hours off unless you're botting in a very high req area/quest area or a private area.

I just talk to a bunch of people at times and switch up where I bot and then say my little brothers playing for me so he prolly wont talk >;D

 

Then they will report you for sharing accounts.

The safest way to not get banned will be just to not bot for a a day or so, jsut bot really safe and do an 8 hour session or so.

There are A LOT of noobs going around with ranked members in RS (JMods PMods) reporting noobs for botting. I'm sure that even the noobs that are joining in have broken a rule/botted in their lifetime.

 

I wouldn't care if they banned ANY of my botting accounts haha, because the only 1 i care about is my original legit<3

 

I'm really surprised JaGex actually announced this on Facebook though were all the botters can see. I actually was sent the link by a fellow user on my MSN.

I would think they would hold a secret meeting and choose a bunch of people who don't look suspicious of botting.

But I guess it takes to much time to do that. It just confuses me that they would post a big announcement like that on Facebook lol.

 

I think the point of this is to scare off botters by announcing this instead of keeping it secret. That, and the fact that there are so many botters that they need to rely on Player Reports just to ban botters.

I would say goodluck to cheq every world, every spot.
Would take ages.

 

If your worried at all about getting reported then just bot dungeoneering or construction.

 

Yeah that's your best bet. Or SW, cause you could just say you had your public chat off if you got banned and if someone actually took the time to go into a SW game to find a bunch of botters, which is 3/4th of the people the SW game

 

Just don'tbot for a week and it's be good.
