How can you select text on a Motorola Droid?

I know you can hold the shift key down and drag on the touch screen, but that only works for small areas of text. For instance, you can't scroll down a page and keep it selected, it starts over at a new block. Is there any way to do a "select all" on a large area of text?

    Thanks!

On a body of text, if you press and hold your finger on it a box
of options should appear asking you what you want to copy.

Or if that doesn't work, you could select all the text and delete
    unwanted parts of it.

How can you select text on a Motorola Droid?

My question is how though? I have a .txt file I am opening from an email in HTML view. So basically I just have a white page with black text, nothing special or fancy about it. The only problem is I can hold down on it, and no options ever pop up. My only option is to hold down the shift button and drag my finger, but even then, I would have to copy and paste it in several parts. Is that my only option, or is there a select all shortcut I can press to highlight everything?

I don't believe when making the droid they were thinking you could copy whole text documents.
I would believe you would have to copy and paste in parts.

Have you tried hitting the options button (near your home/search/back buttons) and looking for any sort of menu/option that will allow you to select all on the .txt?

If holding your finger down on the screen doesn't work, that's the only other thing I can think of.
