Price of gold

Does it typically bump up a little during the summer, when more kids play?

 

I'm gonna say the price will just keep decreasing as more and more people bot and gold-farm. I don't see any indication that Jagex will ban the botters or shut down the gold farmers, and until that happens, I doubt the prices will go up.

But then again, I'm no economic major.

i would say so because theres more demand.

 

Jagex improving their bot detectors(again) or putting trade limit in & taking out wild are one of the only ways that the gold prices will go up... For now.

But to answer your question.

RSGP prices work on supply and demand , just like most things in this world. During summer when people are on break they have more disposable income, most time , therefore the demand is higher.

The prices usually fluctuate ever so slightly.

A lot of the gold re-sellers on sythe control the prices to a certain extent.

Supply and demand..

GP can only drop so far and I believe it is at the point where it won't drop anymore. As it is mass farmers like myself barely break even anymore. Our return is barely any higher then our investment (server costs, memberships, auths etc.) And with the banning lately it is even riskier to the point where some months I actually go under. Soon its not even going to be worth farmin gp for mass farmers and at that point gp merchants will lose a lot of their suppliers who are farmers. Since staking money is indirectly botted money, eventually stakers and botters won't be giving as much of a supply to the gp merchants anymore.

 

I do not think there will ever be enough demand for the price of gold to start rising again. I can get .5c/m whenever I need to now, effortlessly. I only see it dropping more and more.

 

I'd say the bigger players on the gold buying/selling market on Sythe are the main issue in decreasing prices.

Due to the fact everyone seems to be undercutting one another, posting various buying threads for .40-.50$ per mill does nothing constructive to the situation.

I really think the only way to stop prices from dropping to lows would be to introduce a pricing consensus between the top gold sellers where they would agree to a minimum price to buy and sell at which they wouldn't deviate from, however with free market and such this is impossible and it's only going to get worse.

 

Looking at the price of gold now, it will soon rise as i can tell from the threads.
