MM and OMM

Hi

Ive bought things from random people on here a few times. But can some one tell me the way a MM or OMM trade works. I plan on selling accounts I just want to get up to date.

For the bigger trades, I'd suggest using an OMM. It's called an Official Middleman. However, these don't come free; they tend to charge 5% of the trade cost. Which if you think of it the way I do, it's cheap considering you'll have a safe trade. Better safe than sorry, eh?

Regular MM's are considered un-official. Some are safe, some aren't. So pick who you deem trustworthy.

At the end of the day, I'd suggest using an MM who has 100+ vouches for a trade under $30.
Anything over, I'd suggest using an OMM.

Thanks for the info. But how do they work say if I was buying 50 $ worth of gold. How do they come in then ?

 

As for how they work:

You would find and hire one of these people to watch over your trade.
Say if you were "Person 1" and the other trader was "Person 2"

You would hire this OMM and normally all three of you would add each other on
a chatting service that you are comfortable with.

1) Both, Person 1 and Person 2 would give the items to the Middle Man
2) The Middle Man would check to see if both items are legit and what described as
3) If the trade is fine, the Middle Man will release both parties with the items.

 

You'll need to contact them.

They will add both the seller and buyer on an IM System, normally MSN.

The Buyer - You in this case - will send the OMM $50 via PayPal.
The Seller - Random Person - will give the OMM the RSGP.
The OMM will then exchange them.

Trade complete.

Actually, in a Paypal/RSGP trade, the seller gives the RSGP to the MM, and once the MM has received the GP, he gives the OK to the buyer to send the money. After the seller confirms the payment, the MM forwards the GP to the buyer. Basically the same, just clearing it up

 

When your doing a trade, the Middleman/Official Middleman will hold everything.
Once everything is given from the traders, the Middleman will then exchange what was given between them.
You should ALWAYS request a Private Message from Middleman/Official Middleman and verify they have the required Vouches etc.

Official Middlemen do charge a fee but it is definately worth it due to the secure/fast trade they do.
All Official Middlemen will have this badge under their name:

A legit/trusted Official Middleman I know of would definately be Feren Silver.

Omm's usually cost 5m-10m flat fee btw :S

 

OMM's will never take paypal, then send it to someone else. Never. Too risky.
