Does this influence you when buying/selling/trading/MM'ing?

Do you think it earns people more respect? What do you think of it on a whole.

When trading, I go more on the legitness of vouches (i.e mod/admin vouches..)
more than post count. Because there are people who have joined 1 or 2 months ago with post counts in the thousands, but 0 vouches. Anywho, I was just curious.

Well obviously there's a sort of hierachy.

    Vouches>forum status (mod, admin etc)>Join date>post count

I'd rather trade with someone with 1000 posts than 100 posts

Yeah, but what if it was someone who just got post count up to get a trade, then scam? I mean, sure, anyone can scam...but still. Most people like that are just scammers. :\

Vouches are the most important thing. Post count isn't too important to me

Yeah, I'd trust someone with 10 vouches and 100 postcount than someone with 1000 post count and 2 vouches. :\

Regardless of what people say, post count has to influence their decision a lil bit.

I think post count, matters a little bit I'd rather trade someone with less vouches and a higher post count, then someone with more vouches and a lower post count. Most scammers try and scam straight up so they wouldn't really put the effort in posting hardcore just to scam?

    No. Couches mean nothing.

    OnTopic:

When trading somebody i always look for their vouches first.
The only time post count means something to me, is when they are a new comer.

I've traded with people that have just joined and have like 3 posts, [for an example] and they've been more trustworthy then some of the people i've traded with that have had around 1,000 posts and a couple vouches under their belt.

I look at vouches, join date, and posts in that order.
Primarily the vouches are what count the most, but you have to figure out if the person is willing to get their account banned for the trade.
That's why I believe one should carefully examine every aspect of a potential trader.

I mainly look at join date and vouches. >_> But this was brought up because while lurking in the Buying/Selling Sections, on alot of the threads, there's stuff like: less PC, you go first, Not going first to anyone with lest PC, etc etc etc..

I look at everything as a whole when trading. I look at their post count and join date to see how long they've been around and how much time they've dedicated to this site in order to get their post count. I also look at vouches just to see if he's an experienced trader or if he's just coming here to make a few quick bucks. I tend to not trade with people that don't really have a name around here because I know that if they get banned, it won't really matter to them.

To be honest, I think someone that has a large post count, (above sayy,, 1600) and a low amount of vouches would be more trustworthy. The post count with not many vouches show that they put time into their account and haven't gotten anything in return in the form of trades. This would mean they're not really interested in trading to begin with and just made their account to be apart of the community.

I use it as a very very small factor but I look at vouches more.

I am able to assure people that I would not risk the many hours I spent getting this many posts over the amount the trade I am doing is worth.

    It works for me.

I normally look at post count and vouches. I would rather trade with a 1k post count than with someone with 10 post count. Most newcomers that come and scam don't give a shit if they get banned.

To me, if someone has a high post count, they are considered veteran users in my eyes or users that are genuinely interested in the forum.
