    Scamming a scammer

    Ok, just an example.

    I scam RSProd for 100m.

    I get banned.

    Someone scams me for 100mil.

They get banned if I find a way to post about it here.

    Fair.

But if the person who scammed me (after I scammed rsprod for 100m) gives it to rsprod, should the person who scammed me be banned?

(Proof of the person who scammed me, giving the 100m back to rsprod is a must of course)

Idk? It just seems fair as long as the gold gets back to the rightful owner.

As much as I thank you both for the support.
You cannot just post "I support" or "support", it's considered spam.

    Sorry, but thanks :p

    Scamming a scammer

There was a similar incident 1 month ago, between Nate and Viou.

Viou got scammed a cracker and PlzNate was allowed to 'scam' it back for him, with staff's approval; as was said.

I personally dont think it should be allowed.

    1. It will complicate so many things.
    2. People will start posting fake proof saying "so and so friend got scammed, so i am scamming the scammer back for my friends cash". It will just lead to people trying to scam more and over complicate things.
    3. Will make staff's job 100x harder dealing with idiotic scam reports as-well as people using it a scapegoat to avoid bans.
    4. I only beleive this should be allowed if conducted / approved by a staff member and closely watched.

    Scamming a scammer

Well if people had proof a scam actually happened, then I think it should be allowed.

Not for account trades though, as those are never reliable trades, whatsoever.

I'm talking about only rsgp/rs item trades.
As those are scammed everyday, and there is always enough proof to support a scam.(as long as the person who got scammed, does the precautions and takes all pics during trades. Like everyone should be doing)

    Scamming a scammer

I still dont support. My only reason to support would be if it was conducted / watched and approved by a staff member.

It would be nice if staff watched, but they have a lot of other things to take care of.
Idk, was just a thought :p

I know it would complicate things, but it would be nice for people.

    Scamming a scammer

I don't really support this. It would basically encourage people to go out and try to scam other scammers. The concept is the same, scamming shouldn't have to be a resort to get your or another persons money back. If they were scammed then it is their fault for not being cautious enough. If this were to be implemented it is basically allowing our members to learn to scam and scam people. If they start doing this, no matter who they scam to get their money back they may get more and more used to the scamming routine and eventually end up scamming someone that was not a scammer. Plus it is a very unlikely scenario, I have never seen this happen before.

If you ask me anyone that scams someone to get a friends money back would not be a trustworthy person in my eyes. I would want them to have a TWC and I would not trade with them. Because of this they would have experience scamming.

If they money can't be retrieved without having to scam it back then it just has to be left be. Scamming should never be a last resort.
