Extra Contact Information

Just a real quick suggestion here, If it won't work, let me know. But I think it seems simple, and easy to implement, while benefiting the community.

Basically, as it stands, you are able to register some contact info by going to:

User CP < Edit Profile < Enter information.
When you enter your information, there is only one box per contact source.

My Suggestion is that we allow optional additional contact boxes. It would look Like this:



My reason's being, I have had people decline using me as an OMM because I get invited in on, "[email protected]", when my profile says "[email protected]", even if I PM them after, they don't want to hear it. My thinking is that if it's happening to me, it could be happening to a number of people.

This could possibly be used as an additional perk for donators?

I agree, I believe it would be a nice feature to be added. I am planning on using a new email as my primary email and this would be helpful because I could display both emails. It would be very helpful to some of the bigger sellers on Sythe that have multiple MSN's whose contacts are full.

I've never seen it done on any VBulletin forum in the past, so I'm not sure if it is possible. However if it is I support.

 

Or just show both msns in your signature...

 

Why not just stick to one email address?

 

At the peak, you have no idea how many add requests I get. If they all added me onto one, I get confused with who I'm talking to, and about what. By using to, I'm able to manage the multiple conversations easier.

 

Support. I use different emails all the time.

 

You sir, are horribly mistaken. Don't mean to point out the painfully obvious, but.... I'm also OMM, and a Mod. Those two things alone cause me to get a lot of MSn adds. Then to top it off, when I was handling my GP sales, I was getting 20+ adds/day on a slow day.

Either way, It is a decent suggestion. I'm not exactly for it, but I'm not against it either.

 

I do realise you're an OMM, and a mod, and it was probably quite stupid of me to post what I said above, nevertheless it's done, I'm sure that if you trialled 2 MSN's, you'd find it easier to maintain and manage.

If you don't see this as practical and beneficial, I don't mind if you close this. There's no harm in suggesting ideas .

 

I support this, it would be a nice additional feature for donors.
I get a lot of adds ad I will soon be needing a new msn so I guess it will come in handy for me to.

 

I'm not going to close it just because I don't like the idea. If it's possible to implement, and there's enough people who want it then by all means. And I actually keep track of 3 MSN's at a time, and have no issues with it, however they aren't all for sythe.

Would be nice to be able to add more than 1 email if you have many.

 

I support this. I would imagine this would be very easy to do.

 

Im fairly apathetic to the suggestion, but I can definitely relate to why you use multiple MSNs. When I was doing extreme marketing, I had one personal, one for MMing, one for GP donations, and one for other business. I liked having the multiple MSNs, as I felt that I could everything mentally organized.

 

If one is using two MSNs, then this would probably make their life easier. I can't really see any downsides to this suggestion (except for the bit of extra coding).

But putting a "private" MSN on their profile, would make it not private anymore.

Support! I don't have any use for this right now, but I can see some day in the future when I may.

 

A good solution is for you to not have one listed at all. Just post the appropriate one in the thread.
