According to the Bible..

The only reason they change it is 1) Because the original bible was written in foreign languages. 2) To make it understandable for all to read. It would be painful to read a book written years ago. Plus they changed some words to make it more politically correct, for example, taking the word "gay" out because it has different meanings now a days. No one changed the bibles to fit their own ideals, and if they did, it wouldn't be the one most religions believe in.

 

Being a Christian myself, I in no way, shape, OR form believe tomorrow will be judgement day. I think it is all a hoax. I also heard on the news that the psycho who predicted this mess postponed it another 10 days.

 

I guess after having long hair for 4 years and I'm shaving it all off tomorrow means it's the end of the world.

on topic; This isn't going to happen, too many predictions.. too many failures.

 

The bible never says 'kill gays' and the eye-for-an-eye thing is from the OLD Testament.

And nobody told you that some verses were added in by humans? Are you going to tell me that they added those in to make it more understandable? If you really were devoted to God, you'd keep it the way it was revealed, in the language it was revealed and would never tamper with it. But it's far too late for that now.

 

Heard about this and it was on the news, in America there were committees formed to discuss this... Pretty funny really!

I believe in a Judgement day, but no one knows when it will come, and you can not predict it.

 

As opposed to...? Of course it was "added in by humans". Who else could possibly add it in?

 

It's like 2012, but this Christian, does he not believe that Jesus is going to come back like all Christians believe?

While you might have a point, the Catholic church used to hold services entirely in Latin, as that was the original language. How is that a good idea, when the majority of people can't understand it?

When will people listen to reason and science and stop being so gullible.

 

I love how the ones with religion defend themselves saying we take the bible out of context. Yet none of them can admit that the bibles we have available now have been interpreted and misinterpreted the way humans saw fit.

That's just foolish. Its a good idea, but people need to understand it. If they didn't understand it and didn't make an effort to learn the language...well that's..Ill leave that alone.

Whats pretty funny is that the bible does say many things we now find unfit for our society. Yet they say they're true to their religion and bible when they don't even completely understand it.
