According to the Bible..

Saturday is Judgement Day.

I'm calling it right now. When Sunday rolls around, I'm going to laugh my fucking ass off in the face of every person I know who honestly believes that the Bible is the end-all-be-all.

 

Hey now.. not everyone who believes in the bible believes this. Just like not every Islam wants to bomb America.

 

I don't get how people even came up with this theory about Saturday? Anyone mind explaining?

 

Its wrong, its human interpretation.

 

the bible also says to kill gays and to practice "an eye for an eye"

 

Doubt all christians believe it's judgement day.

 

Where in the bible is it stated everyone will die this Saturday?

 

Some guy thinks he interpreted the Bible and it says the world will end on saturday. He also spent his life savings promoting it too.

I'm no bible thumper, but it sure annoys me when people jump on the hate Christianity bandwagon without any prior knowledge of the topic except the few paragraphs they read every so often on the internet.

And since it's one guy it's on him, he is not the whole religion, just like one terrorist doesn't make every Muslim a believer in destroying the world etc.

 

This ridiculous idea is a misinterpretation of an already nonsensical work, so it stands to reason that all of the followers of this doctrine are complete idiots.

"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them" (Leviticus 20:13, AV).

 

That's in Leviticus, the book with Jewish customs of the nation of Israel. It also says that you shouldn't eat pork. Times have changed, and when quoting that by itself it is taking the verse out of context.

This was in no means an insult or trying to start an argument, I am fairly ignorant when it comes to religion in most cases, I try to stay away from it, be a good person and see what happens. One day I'll research it a bit more but that won't be for some time to come.

 

It's obvious the Bible has been changed multiple times by people, so it's really not something you should believe in.

 

I still have no idea how you would decipher this from the Bible anyway.

until someone finds the first edition(FAT CHANCE) you cant trust everything it says. Any smartass ruler who thinks he should change a bit of it to suit his own ideas will do it.

Lol if the christians claim that there will be mass killings on judgement day, then what's with their original message of how their god "loves" all?

 

The Bible also says that no man will know when 'Judgement Day' will be and that the lord will come back "Like a thief in the night".

I would also like to add that Mr. Camping has already made a failed prediction back in 1994, in which he actually published a book backing his claim!

In short, I'll definitely be going into work on Sunday.

Don't generalize all Christians just because one guy has lost his mind and doesn't know what he's claiming.
