Which vps should i buy if i want to bot on 6 sorc accounts ?

Edit: What -xmx should I set my bot to for doing sorc names on it? I was thinking 2 sorc names per client, do I want it at like -xmx300, -xmx100, -xmx400? I'm really not sure what setting is best there.

 

Hey got a little question; I'm looking into getting my own VPS at the moment. I'm just not 100% sure about this; The VPS isn't connected to my computer or network I'm using, so I do not need an internet connection for the VPS to work right? Just to set-up the bots and check progress and stuff right? Thanks in advance

 

Correct, it's basically like a virtual computer so it runs on its own internet etc you only need internet to access it.

Photonvps would be a good choice. Setting up the bot client on it really isn't hard.. theres even a step by step guide somewhere here on sythe in the guide section.

And I don't recommend botting sorc, at least for the time being. Last month and a half have been full of bans.

 

I have mine set at -xmx472.

 

+1 agree. Thre are two guides in my sig btw.

I usually set my single clients to 474, my double/triple clients to 747.

Well, it keeps closing my bots on photonvps.. I was originally running 8 sorcs, now I've cut down to 6.. I'll see how it goes.

Using xen4 btw.. Just switched it to -xmx474 from -xmx 472.. Let's see if that makes any diff. Running 1 sorc per client btw.

 

I bought a windows photonVPS with 2GB ram But unable to run even 1 bot on it . I think its a graphics issue and the support team refuse to help.

Is it idifferent on linux VPS? Should i get myself one of those?

I keep getting this bullshit.. Only after awhile of running and usually just 1 bot..

I've reinstalled java, and I've reinstalled rsbots..

 

Sorc is a bad choice to bot in the first place. An update just recently occured to the bot client so just wait it out.. client closings tend to happen more right after an update.

I thought photonvps was a linux vps?

 

Anybody having trouble installing the most recent update on their photon VPS?

 

What kind of problem? On my linux DS when I go to update I click OK on the button on the window that says something like "Looks like it updated." After that, that screen basically freezes and is useless. However I just ignore it, install the new stuff and everything works fine.

That's obviously an IMPSOFT problem don't submit a ticket, just await an update or reinstall the java then botclient then reboot.. Impsoft are the developers of the Nexus client btw.

Yes I also agree with you client closing shouldn't be automatically declared a provider side problem, I have these happen on my DS as well as does kmjt
