explanation:
On Jan 8th 2023 i was transfering a rare name i owned to one of my other accounts and the name was sniped in the blink of a eye.

I took a screenshot of me still logged into the name with the rare username on forums and my sythe account - January 8th 2023

After the name was sniped i messaged a few name sellers and admins to let them know and keep a eye out for me. One of those people were Assassin.

I added the name to my friends list and basically logged in now and again for the new 2+ years

In 2025 i logged in to see the name had finally been moved of the sniper account and to a new account showing it had been sold, so i hit the markets again and started asking around.

Assassin says my name was recently knowing it was my name and that nothing can be done... fishy

the rest of the conversation... found it very strange he'd call who ever has it a scammer ? made no sense to bring that up but anyway.. ironic.

so i continued to log into runescape to see if i could ever catch the new owner online and i finally did!

The name was listed through us Oct 26th 2024 after looking at logs. I will pm Andy on discord the chat and his discord ID etc

It is very difficult to keep track and remember a name that was reported over a year and a half ago on Sythe (since I am not active on Sythe) and the name could of moved accounts since it was stolen/sniped off of him. I also got confused with a very similar name we sold (3g) so I think It may have moved, but I don't track name changes so I have no clue. We move so many names/list so many names a day and there is only so much we can do to prevent these kinds of issues and we always try but obviously its easy to forget over a year and a half later from a sythe dm. In terms of the recent dms, I think I got it mixed up with a very similar name (3g) as stated above. Proof of this can be shown privately to admins/mods if they think im talking out of my ass and I should of done more thorough research there instead of being lazy.

If someone reports it to me on Discord usually ill add it to names to avoid list in our server that we try to keep updated, but most of the time those names come back into the market on other Sythe affiliated discord servers, when people buy the name off name snipers. Do we keep the names on avoid anyway or remove them due to the fact an innocent person owns the name now? Sythe seems to think its not valid on avoid anymore once a name moves so I got no clue. This user reported it early, but it doesn't change the fact it most likely changed hands multiple times before it was listed with us.

There have been many instances of this happening and it is hard to tackle so any Admin insight would be appreciated. If its ruled that we were negligent in listing the name then we can refund but I would ask for proof it didn't change hands at all. Thanks
