Xbox Info Please

Hi all of you,

Well, this year I'm buying a xbox 360 indeed. I'm buying the one with kinect, xbox 360 kinect. The thing is that I don't know anything about this console/video games. I would like you to tell me some info about it. I've seen some videos which people pwn in Call of duty or Halo reach online. How do I play it online? Just with my internet modem? What games are nice to play? Also, What are Microsoft points for?

For Xbox 360, if you have wireless internet there is an attachable adapter that you can plug into the back of your xbox and get online compatability. The attatchment costs about 60$ (used) at gamestop and works pretty well. A 12 month membership for xbox live costs around 50$. Some games I would recommend are Call of Duty, Gears of War, and Halo. Those are my favorite games for sure.

Microsoft Points can be used to change your gamertag, buy DLC's (downloadable content) from the microsoft store, or to buy arcade games from the store. A good arcade game is Castle Crashers.

If you're American, then GameStop is a great place to buy games and consoles, they sell used ones that work just as well for about 75% of the cost.

Everything Kiros said is correct, but I would not recommend going the wireless route for you internet connection. With a lot of games winning and losing depends on who has the best internet connection and plugging the Ethernet cable straight into your Xbox will give you a bit more speed.

 

All you need is a modem with internet or a router. Just connect a ethernet cord to either to your xbox and set up a xbox live account through the dashboard. also the xbox does have tutorials to help you a lot about whats going on.

Games i recommend is definitely Halo and maybe CoD... I find halo way more fun and interactive because you dont get as angry as you do on CoD. Also CoD has wayy to many hackers, cheaters, and a lot of screaming kids. Halo isnt like that at all. Halo is also much more fun because well... Its just fun! its really fun to play with friends as well. Other games that are really good like halo would be in my opinion Gears of War, Battlefield Bad company, and Brink. Their are other games but i cant think of them lol.

Microsoft points are like in-game money to buy things like games, map packs, avatar clothing, videos, and a bunch more things.
