Dicing threads belong in the market section?

No offense to anyone running one at the time, but seeing the countless "hosters needed" or "New Dicing clan" is getting kind of old = /.

My proposition would be to move these threads into the Market section, where they should technically go because they are run for the purpose of making money.

EDIT - Wasn't too clear when suggesting this.

The actual dicing clan would go into the "Other" section, and then the "Looking for Hosters" would go in the Market Lounge as I've seen "Looking for a partner for XXXXX business" there.

I agree that there has been more and more of these threads. However instead of making Looking for Hosters or Introducing a new Dicing Clan, there could be a specific Sticky Topic. For example a sticky for "Advertise your In-Game clan HERE" topic that could be stickied and another topic that could be like "Host or Find a Dice Game Host HERE" topic. I do not think Dicing Clan and people hosting should be considered the same thing. This is why I proposed a general clan topic, because Dicing clans are very specific. I don't think they should go to the market section, because although it deals with money it does not relate to any Real life money and is simply part of the Runescape Gameplay. If we were to start moving dicing discussion to the market section, it would be like moving any topic asking for money making tips to the Market section too. Market section should be strictly for buying and selling only.

If someone were to be selling ranks in a good dicing CC that would be different.

 

Many of these dicing clans keep 10% of the wagers, so they are run on the base of making profit. If not 10% then something like 61-100 you double, which is also made to make profit. Although it is not IRL money, it is made to profit and to make more RSGP.

 

I support this, I have been noticing mre and more threads on the subject.
Either they need to be in the market/other section or a sticky needs to be made for them.

It's a service and should be moved to the market section. I haven't noticed too many threads about it yet.

 

Let me be clear on this: dicing clans will not be moved outside the RS section. If a person wants to start a similar wagering system using real money, then it will go to the Other section in the market. However, there is very low chance dice games will ever be played with real money because a lot of money will be wasted on fees.

 

I meant the "Other Services" of the Runescape section, not the whole different market forum.

 

Your suggestion still isn't clear. You're proposing that we create another sub-forum to the RuneScape section?

 

Move them all to the mini-game section.

 

Under User Services in the runescape market there is this category:

"Other Services
For any other services that don't fit in the above categories."

And a sticky could be made in the RS general of people looking for hosters for their clans, or people looking for hosters could make threads in the market lounge.

 

Its a mini game.

 

Support for FlyingToast, FireZ I am sure that some may consider it a minigame , however, I am also sure that the minigames discussion sub-forum wasn't created for the purpose of "Dice Clans" in specific.

 

Why not just make a sticky?

 

I don't see a good way that using a sticky can help this particular issue.

 

I agree, it doesn't seem like there is enough of these topics to waste a Sticky on. It would be fine as long as they get moved to the Minigames Sub section.
