How identifiable is weed?

well im in England, and normally dont pick up, but the last time i did im sure an eigth was about 20 quid, if that helps on prices and i cant tell the difference, normally when you buy if you a friend that smokes often get them to pick up for or with you and run there fingers through it and smell it an to distingusih it for you.
edit - i normally smoke amnesia haze it is normally pretty good quality, ill take a picture next time i do pick up and that might start you off

 

Hard to say just by looking at a picture but most dank is frosty, dirt/schwag will look, well dirty but not always. If your buying it just smell the shit or ask to match a bowl/joint.

 

Identifying the strain by just pictures would be difficult. With macros I could probably tell you if it's quality and take a best guess at the strain, or main strain. If it's ground up, there's no way to tell. If it is ground up, the only way you can tell if it's good dank is by the smell and the smoke.

 

Prices are different; I buy an ounce of pineapple kush for 475 and sell for 950.
