Rift

Me and Beans, the friendly purple catzombie.

 

Rift looks really cool, but monthly fees usually stop me from playing more than two mmos so i'll drop either RS or Wow if I really want to play Rift.

 

Its a good WoW replacement. I havent played WoW in a couple years, but many friends left it for Rift and havent complained.

I played WoW since TBC came out, and I quit when cata came out... tried out rift but I really disliked it idk.. just felt kinda awkward, I guess I'm just really used to WoW. I haven't experienced any PvP in rift though, and I was a multi-glad in wow, and all I did was PvP. I really hate PvE, so can anyone tell me if there is a large PvP side of this game, or is it almost all about the PvE?

 

Only gripe I have so far, is that my pet didnt change appearance at all going from a lesser to a greater. I would have at least liked a larger purple zombie cat. =(

PvP worlds are pretty fun, aside from higher levels ganking new players. The actual PvP starts happening in the level 30~ zones. You may see the other faction soon but not many of them.

Theres also Warfronts, which is similar to Battlegrounds on WoW.

 

This game is outrageous, best graphics I've ever seen!

 

Yup i started playing afew days after release. I have a 50 warrior in Nyx, though i chose a bad shard. Wasn't a head start shard, so while other people are already in greenscale raids ect, my shard's top guilds are just getting into T2's

 

yiew, just started this got a lvl 20 cleric- is tearfall a decent shard?

 

Looks pretty flash, might give this game a try if i can get a free version

 

I love this game. My friends had me playing WoW with them for a bit, I got to 85 through Cataclysm, then did arenas, then this came out, and I haven't looked back. I play a mage (Lock/Necro/Chloro) and am cirtually untouchable, I love this game. It is so much better than WoW, the class system alone makes it worth the buy, no character will be the same as yours almost. You can mix and match and be anything you want. The world is sooo huge, and you can simply explore if you wanted. I love it. Worth the buy, definitely going to be my main game for a long time to come.

Well... they do offer a 7-day free trial now. Game is good.

 

got the trial a couple days ago! been pretty fun. For now it seems nearly identical to WoW (which i use to play back in the day all the way to level 80 which was max at the time).

i plan to keep playing and see where it goes! so far so good...but i hope it does get at least a little better

 

Seriously considering buying this game, anyone know how it compares in regards to WoW?

 

It's a great replacement, with a simply amazing class system.

But really when it comes down to it, no matter what you roll, your character can be a tank/heals/DPS, so there's no 'real' need to reroll simply because you wanted a tank.

 

well then what does having different classes do lol
