It's true and false..

There is no correct answer.

 

I think it's pretty legit, basically it explains that people that speak good behind you are your real friends.

I like it, without every word capitalized.

 

Disagree with that quote.

If someone treats you like scum in front of you, but secretly admires you behind your back does that mean they respect you?

a lot of times it has nothing to do with you as a person, as the person is simply projecting.

It's called 'Social Conformity' and 'Group Mentality', and it happens a lot.

 

I agree to some extent. People will always slag you off behind your back, to make themselves feel better or to simply laugh at you with their group of friends. However, they may still respect you.

Very true. Anyone can fake "liking" someone, it takes true respect to speak highly of someone behind their back when they would never find out if you said otherwise.

There isn't a right aswer, it's a personal opinion of how you understand it however I will have to disagree.

 

Well if people are willing to talk in good standing about you without you present then you can assume there is some degree of respect there..

 

The quote works both ways, I personally disagree though. In my perspective, I think respect is just earned and that's the only way. I personally can't categorize respect by this quote.
