How does one get banned for botting?

How does this work?

- Is it like the all seeing eye in LOTR?

- Do you have to actually get reported for them to flag your account?

- Do you have to be caught by an actual J-mod while botting to get banned?

who knows?

 

I'm pretty sure most bans are triggered by reports. If a J-Mod catches you personally you should feel special.

There so called "bot system" is bs imo.

 

From what I hear, the "bot detection system" is BS unless you are doing something obvious like injecting rogue code directly into the client (I love free bots for that one ).

I feel like Jagex relies heavily on player reports, moderator reports, and J Mods physically seeing the bots.

But who knows really. It just seems to me like they have no way to figure out you are botting if you are using a reflection-based bot, and I don't feel like they would even call you out if you were using an auto clicker either.

But like you said, who knows lol.

Yupp.. I have a 33hour dung prog going right now.. You get banned from player reports, plus failed randoms, if your bot fucks up and you click a door for 20hours.. Ive done that like 5 times and haven't been banned. and manuel jmod bans.. Ive seen jmods at MTA like 4years ago when RID's bot first came out and I was using it, and seen Jmods at red chins. Both times I logge dcaus eI had been botting lol.

 

I believe currently it is judged by the offense and what you were botting. I can be permanent or a temporary ban. However more recently it has been: F2P Permanent ban, and for P2P is has generally been 14 day Temporary ban. Although Jagex is harder on gold farming bots.

 

I have a f2p account, been botting at clays for ages. It got banned for one year...I think it's the reports.

 

Just bot smart, i botted 99 agility 99 attack str def ranged hp mage craft mining firemaking cooking rc running 24/7 for months.. no ban...
i used a free hunter bot. perm ban the next day.
i now avoid botting on weekends, due to more mod want to be's. (with the exeption of dungeoneering) and tend to run higher risk bots at night time only.

 

The basic player report is mainly the way they catch you. Their "sophisticated bot catching system" isn't so great either.
