Potential Rares?

They are untradable so they can't become rares, in terms of non-tradables they slightly raise account values. HARDLY worth anything tho.

You guys know the Tyras Helmet? When it first came out I bought like 200 thinking that they would be discontinued in a few days. Now they are trash, but I had a good laugh logging onto one of my old accounts with a bank full of them.

 

You can still get golden crackers by talking to diango, its definitely a good idea their not adding anymore discontinued items. I Have around 100 of each turkey item and Im sure thousands of others do

 

I did the same thing with Dragon Kites, which were released on April First a few years ago. Now its name is a Toy Kite.

Every account has one pretty much.

 

There are some unsual ones out there.

For example, before the original RuneScape (now Classic) was re-opened, amulets of accuracy became very rare and sought after as each account could only get one from the quest, and there were very few accounts left active.

 

Chessy got hacked i heard. And i think rares will do something wierd if the person who hacked does something wrong.

 

You may as well suggest Gnome Cuisine (Green Ale Man, Drunk Dragon, ..etc) will become rare soon...

they won't be rare for quite a while, also they can't be traded so kinda worthless the most i see them is like the scythe and bunny ears accounts, just something to make ur account worth more... the broom is from swept away quest so u can still get it....

jagex has stated that they have no intent of making anymore rares because it "hurts the economy...." (yeah cuz that is the reason their economy is dying....)
but yeah sooooo what you need to be looking for as new rares are smuggled items that u can't get anymore because of patching

Lies. Bunny ears are still pretty rare imho. Given what that there was maybe 50 000 people that had logged on RS to pick them up. And now there are over 50 million accounts apparently. So 1 in 1000 is still pretty rare. Also given that at least 100 000 people have 99 in some skill, if not most.

Partyhats are just hoarded to be more rare, not as many as there should be.

 

I remember seeing a post similiar to this back in like 2002 asking if Party hats will ever be rare, and everyone saying.. Why would -1 inventory/bank space be rare? tons of items can do that..

 

jagex will not make anymore rares i believe.especially not that.it just came out

jagex announced no more new 'rare' tradeable holiday items etc....end of story
