why parents lie?

I was wondering why parents lie? To make me myself safe and not worry at all? Its been like a year and my parents tell me that we'll be moving soon because of low income and can't pay the mortgage. They telling me that the havn't pay rent for a long time but yet i'm still in this house. they spend money like crazy on me and 2 sisters and lots of bills. I only have a mom that produces income and a dad whose unemployed.

 

They don't really lie, they bend the truth so that you don't worry.
If you're still in the house then you have nothing to worry about, by the sounds of things everything is going perfectly fine.

Just because they can't pay the mortgage doesn't mean everything will go wrong.

There mortgage could be $100 a week yet your mum makes $150, that means she can still pay it, but everything else becomes a luxury.
You're moving house so that you can buy better things.

 

I doubt that would ever happen. it'll take a lifetime just to finish paying off house

If you really want to you can put your mums wages up here and how much her mortgage costs and I'll provide accurate numbers.

 

Parents often lie in those situations because they don't want to put any burden on their children. Other times they lie because they don't want to look bad.

 

Agreed. The times where my parents have lied to me have generally been to take the full burden themselves, and not bring any harm to me.
