It's also probably noteworthy to mention that almost every atom in our bodies, and almost every atom that make up everything around you was formed in a star somewhere out in space in the process of nuclear fusion that a star uses to produce energy.

"Matter flows from place to place, and momentarily comes together to be you." - Richard Dawkins

Annnnnd eventually we'll go back into making another star, planet, nebula, etc. it's not as crazy of an idea as it probably sounded like in my original post.

Views can be unlimited; To galaxies and beyond, I once heard a theory, which anyone here would laugh but it was that after we die; Our essence is transported to different galaxies and universe's and we are put through a few trials, and if we can withstand the test of time within those trials, then we are able to reincarnate into another soul; But if we can't, then we're forced to roam the space, skies and earth as lost souls for as long as it takes until we can get it right.

Not quite sure what you mean. If you're implying the laws of physics might differ from galaxy to galaxy, I'm sorry to disappoint you but that's not true.

    I dont believe it.

You are saying things like floating around in heaven or hell are silly ideas, while yours is just as far-fetched. (i dont believe in either).

You talk about a book of experiences and whatnot. That is useless. As other people have stated, your consciousness becomes obsolete upon death. Who is going to read your "book". Books have been created by the human brain, a "soul" cannot read them. A "soul" does not have the ability to read. A "soul" does not even know what a book is.

Needless to say if your reincarnated as an animal or another organism, you cant read a "book". And reincarnation principles would not even apply to animals as they have no regard for what is right or wrong, they run on instinct. Nothing they can do is wrong in any way. It is earthly, it is their reality, and its what they do. so a path for the next life could not even be determined. I believe the same holds true for humans.

All of the words you have spoken and definitions of them are man-made. When you die, the engine(brain) that runs your reality and all the things you know and believe (such as reincarnation)will be no more. Even the space you know as space, the blank space you imagine before space will not exist. In death, death will not exist.

could go on and on, but yeah...thats what i believe :)

And thus, you have your beliefs. Have you died and remembered it? Do you honestly "KNOW" what happens?

I wouldn't think so, do you "know" what a soul is? Does anybody really know?

Open up your eyes and ask those to yourself. ;]

that doesnt make any sense. that is completely contradictory to your own beliefs lol.

what u said here is what i was saying in the first place.

nobody honestly "KNOWS" what happens. and your asking me if i have died and remembered it?
that is essentially what your entire belief is based on.

    my eyes are completely open.

you did not even understand what i was saying.

"And thus, you have your beliefs. Have you died and remembered it? Do you honestly "KNOW" what happens? "

what i am trying to tell you is that the word "KNOW" does not even exist in death. Knowledge does not exist in death. Anything you can possibly think or imagine in your brain will not exist in death, as your brain will not.

It's what I believe to happen; I'm entitled to my Own beliefs, So if you feel like coming to try to disprove anything, you're sadly mistaken, because there is nothing to disprove ;]

i wasnt trying to disprove it because your right,i dont know what i am saying to be right either as it is my own belief, as yours is yours.

but either way this is not meant for the SFA section because this section is meant for discussion with logical, reasonable, factual basis. not opinions, which is exactly what this thread is and states.

It actually is meant for Something For All; Because this is "Something for all" this is for anyone to come and share what they believe in aswell; Sorry you're not quite up to par on it though.

But in any case, there's no bashing going on, Just share your belief and be on your way.

Angus has a point you know. You aren't making an intelligent point, you're presenting your belief as fact then contradicting yourself by saying nobody really knows. What is there to discuss if nobody really knows?

Also the way you reworded that previous post still made no sense

Show me the mathematical formula for a soul btw

Nobody's doubting the fact that you are entitled to your own beliefs—as we all are—rather, you are being asked to clarify your position, and provide evidence which confirms the truthfulness of your claim.

I'm sorry to say, you've misinterpreted the point of this section of the forum. The SFA section is designed for intelligent debate on issues; the stickies quite clearly show that this is not the section to merely voice your views, but rather, to argue your views with reasoned arguments.

My view on this subject is quite simple: nobody knows, or can know, what happens after death, however, all evidence points toward a purely materialistic existence for ourselves, which would imply that death is the absolute end of our consciousness. If somebody has a competing idea on the matter, I'm completely open to re-evaluate my position in light of newly discovered evidence, though I have yet to be presented with any.

There probably won't be any newly discovered evidence, at all. It's all a state of mind really, If I wanted to believe that when I die, I'd be reborn as a penguin well damn I will do so, even though I mean that sounds pretty far-fetched, If I want to believe it, I will.

"When you are studying any matter, or considering any philosophy, ask yourself only what are the facts and what is the truth that the facts bear out. Never let yourself be diverted either by what you wish to believe, or by what you think would have beneficent social effects if it were believed. But look only, and solely, at what are the facts." - Bertrand Russell

I think this summarizes my take on this kind of thing.
