Worst boss ever?

Let's see.
When I finally quit, I will not be giving my 2 week notice.

I do not plan on going back there, ever.

I have worked there since Aug of 2010, and I cannot stand it no more.


My boss:
Kitchen manager
Believes she is the smartest person there
Claims to have a "super" brain
Has 3 teeth on her upper, and 6 on her lower.
She is a crack-head in denial. (Claims her bad teeth are 'family orgin', she is 28 years old)
Says she graduated college @ 14.(yet she told me about her hi-school love when she was 17.)
I can write a book about her "qualities"

She cannot schedule for SHIT.



The problem today.
I work at a Hotel's restaurant.
The guests/customers order off a menu. So they should get what is on the menu, correct?
Yes.

However, she doesn't believe so.
Nearly every item on our menu is different than what she wants us to do.

The example today, Chop Chop Salad, on the menu is says.
Romaine Greens, Olives, Avocado, Pacific Crab, Garlic Vinigerette Dressing, Diced Cucumber, etc.

However, she wants us to add other salad in there, Artisan.
I told her no.
She bitched me out saying it's what corporate wants us to do.


I'm sorry, but if corporate wanted us to cook differently than what the guests order off of, then they should redo it, correct?

And it's not just that one item, it's like 80% of our menu that is different.



And that book that she wants us to cook from (^ not the menu) is wrong in her eyes as well.

I'm reading through it making some shitty soup, and I ask her where I can find something, she says don't use it. But the book says to. Then she goes on saying that the book is wrong.


I just can't fucking stand it any longer, I have dealt with her for far to long and anyone needs to.



There is sooooooooo much more than what I have posted her, I just don't have the energy to type it all, as I just got off a 10-hour work shift because she is a fucking cunt.



Anyone have worse bosses? I bet I can top it with a story about my boss.

I had a boss that got arrested for child porn.

Didn't affect me..

But still, a "bad" boss.

 

That's kinda funny, to tell you the truth lol.

The front office manager, at the hotel where I work, is gay. And he loves to come up behind the guys and "tickle" them, including me.

Yea, when I plan on quitting, I am going to write her a letter about my "views on the kitchen staff/restaurant staff" and I will forward it to the GM of the hotel.

On her letter, I will ask her to show it to the GM.
Then on the GM's letter, I will tell him that I told her to show it to him and if she does not show it then she is being dishonest.

She tried to serve 15 day old halibut(fish)
The fish was covered in breading (Egg battered, then bread covering) for 13 days, then she asked me to "wash" the breading off. I did and I called her the same day and told her "The fish smells like rotten vagina, want me to toss it?" she said "No, put it back in the freezer and I'll check it later"
I put it in the freezer, and the next day I noticed that the pan has been moved. So I assumed she checked it out and decided to keep it.
I told the GM, and he nearly fired her.

She then said her excuse for not tossing it was "It wasn't labeled"
I'm sorry, but even a 5 year old can tell the difference between what old rotten fish looks like, and 'fresh' fish.

My boss when I was like 14 and done washing up at the local pub was a fat french fuck who paid me fuck all and used to complain if I wasn't working "hard enough" in her eyes.

 

Wow. What a BITCH! I've only had a dike boss, who was a real bitch. All my others were fine..but this was on a summer-only job at a sno-cone place by the lake...anywho, she was full on dike. Had a motorcycle, wore leather jackets with sleeves cut off..well she would always get in my face if she thought I put to much flavoring in it (which I always used the EXACT amount I was supposed to..) And she fired me because I told her there was mold starting to grow in the ice machine. Lol. She fired me, and the health inspector came two days later, and the plac was temporarily shut down because of many more problems that I wasn't even aware of.

 

just get someone with an allergy to the item she "adds" to the item to come in and order it.

they will sue and win and your boss will be fired

Put microscopic traces of peanuts in foods, and someone will require an epi pen.

Really sucks that you have a boss like that. You should confront the upper levels of staff saying you cannot work in the conditions provided by your current boss, and that you've put up with it for far too long.

And I have tried, I talked to the GM about it, for a good 1/2 hour, he even spoke to my boss about it.
However, nothing has been done to improve anything.
And some of it has gotten worse.

 

Just want to make sure you have thought of this

~Do you have another job to replace this one? I know you are engaged and paying for a wedding is expensive.

A great thing for you to do could be to look at working for another hotel nearby. With your experience currently it would help you out.

Perhaps instead of quitting then sending the big boss a letter you should try and speak with him about it now. If your planning on quitting anyways maybe something good could come out of it.

 

Already tried to speak with the GM about it, nothing has been done on my boss's part.

And I am currently applying everywhere around me for a new job.

Thats unfortunate nothing could be done about her than.

Good luck on your applications. Oh and if you go on an interview I wouldn't say you quit because of how horrible your last boss was. Even if she is horrible makes you look bad. Just leave it at looking for better a opportunity

 

Yea, it's funny, but it was the perfect way to explain the stench of it.
I ended up having to change my uniform because the stench stuck to it.
