    Which Antivirus program works "the best," and is free? Any help, please.

    AVG or Avast.
    Both free

    Avast and Malwarebytes are my top choices.

    Is ESET any good? I'm currently using the online virus scan to clean up my PC as we speak. :)

    I would get avast if I were you. I have it, probably the best free antivirus I've ever had. :D

    avast is pretty good like the others said and theres also a lot of free liscence files for the full version floating around (not suggesting that you illegally obtain them just stating a fact ;P)

    Avira, avg.. windows security essentials will do you fine too if you're not an idiot.
    I usually suggest Avira but uhh yeah I don't use any free ones
