Yep that's right.

Chances are most botters use the same bot, RSBot.
RSBot is the largest, widest and most widely used Bot in RuneScape. It uses scripts which tell the bot what to do, where to walk and stuff like that. You don't have to worry about the Scripts for now, some public ones are already included

Just Note before continuing on:

1.This is not a 100% ban-proof guide
2. This guide is written under my idea, which means it is not all correct. Please PM me if you need something changed
3. This guide was based on two other guides which can be found right below
4. Botting is against the rules and will 99.99% get you banned if you are dumb.

Presuming some of you already know about bots, and importantly botting, you can skip this entire step if needed.

Botting in Runescape is basicly getting the machine to play the game for you. Despite botting being against the Runescape rules, people do it frequently. This is why I have written this guide, to help you keep off the ban hammer

If you enjoy playing Runescape straight for 10 hours, doing the same thing over and over again, I recommend you don't use bots. But, if you want 99 cooking in less than 1 month, USE BOTS!

First things first. You have to assess the risks that are involved with botting. Similar to steroids and drugs, botting is good but has bad consequences. There are also a couple of requirements before you move on.

The Risks:

1. There is always the chance you will get banned, you have to be willing to accept that no matter how hard you try there is a 0.0000001% chance you will be banned.

2. Botting will cost you. No matter what people tell you if you want to be safe, you need to pay. Sure you can get the free bots, they always tend to look more "Bottish", which could mean clicking incorrectly, or not taking breaks

3. Botting takes time to understand fully and to get set up, be prepared to spend a couple days learning everything you need.

The Requirements:

1. Online payment system and money. This helps because you can buy premium scripts

2. Computer know how. Botting files are very very hard to fix if you stuff it up. However there are always people ready to help (not me).

3. Enough patience to learn what you are doing.

Now onto the different types and styles of botting. Basicly there are three main catagories in botting:

1. High Risk / High Reward

2. Medium Risk / Medium Reward

3. Low Risk / Low Reward

There are many different bots that fall into each of the categories, however because this is a guide based on the "Cautious Players" we will be focusing on Low Risk / Low Reward. In the long run following my guide will pay off.

When I say Low Risk / Low Reward I dont mean that you will be getting less rewards then if you were to pick the High risk route. I simply mean that you wont accumulate them as fast. To help illustrate what I mean by all this here is what you are looking at:

High Risk / High Reward:

Basically any bot that involves hardcore cheats. Things like alching, picking flax, teleporting. These bots are commonly used to accumulate fast gold and experience points with little to no disregard for the accounts safety. These are not recommended what so ever. Bad choice here.

Medium Risk / Medium Reward:

These are much safer than a High Risk program, and are mostly not detected by Jagex however there is a good chance that at one time or another the bot will get hit by a ban wave. These include bots like Sorceress Garden, Soul Wars and general power leveling bots.

Low Risk / Low Reward:

Safest of all bots, these only use memory reading which at the moment cannot be detected by Jagex by any means. Meaning the only way you can get banned is through player reports, and with smart botting the chances of you getting banned are close to those of getting hit by lightning.





The world of botting holds many opportunities for you to choose where you want to go. As stated in the above section we will be focusing on the low risk style of botting. There are a few really great bots out there that a classified as Low Risk however, I would recommend Powerbot.

First please notice that I SUCK at Java and things, I will definitely make mistakes and leave out something. Please refer to an important and knowledgeable player for Java help.

Note that when you do this, you might have JDK 6 Update 30 or maybe 40, it doesnt matter just download that one.

As far as I remember this is all you do, enjoy your first experience of bots! Your bot already has some pre-subscribed Scripts. These are the best free scripts!

The very next thing you want to do is decide what you are going to be botting for. Gold? Leveling? It all comes down to figuring out which bot suits your needs. Just pick one and browse the Powerbot script section!

Gold Farming:

This is a higher risk then most other things, depending on what you do to farm gold. The best thing I can recommend is try to find a profile for your bot that switches places every couple of hours. A dead giveaway that you are botting is that you stay in the same place for to long. A far to common mistake that results in a lot of bans.

Leveling:

You really have to chose your road wisely on this one. Powerleveling (dropping resources, like wood and fish) can be very risky because a smart person would bank. Even, banking can be un-safe. Riskiest leveling is got to be firemaking I think






Refer to the following image for everything.



1. First you want to step up your account

Go Edit>Accounts.
Add in your account details there, don't worry about getting hacked

2. Once you've done that, go use the bot by running some scripts.

For example, you wanna train your woodcutting.
Go File>Run Script>Conderoga's Chopper
Select any of those script there and press "OK"

Follow the details and you will be fine. You might need a hatchet wielded

3. This is random things, tells you the errors and other things.

Jagex has a few ways to tackle bots, which have been found out by people refactoring the official client, and seeing what is sent back. Mouse movements are extremely overrated, but are sent. The way Java works, Jagex can't monitor EVERY single spot where you move your mouse, allowing fairly human mouse movements to be able to by pass the system. They also count the number of methods in a class, but I'm not sure if they do anything with this. Many of Jagex's detection processes are not done by the client. These include things like:

How long you spend in 1 place
Some random consistency checks.
Previous offenses and linked accounts.
HTTP Headers
Account Information

Randoms Failed: I'm sure we all know about this more randoms failed = higher ban chance. You'll even notice that if you ever fail any randoms, you'll get those randoms more often.

Time logged in: Hard to get much exact information, but I think the general rule of thumb is 8 hours. Depending on how much you play normally. For example, there are many legit players that almost every day play over 10 hours. People like these are probably filed into a "High playing time" database, and there's probably different levels for how often you play. Try to keep your total time logged in per day under the 8 hour rule, or even better, try to keep it consistent with how much you'd play normally.

How long you spend in 1 place: This is a big one. Even people who are really dedicated to getting skills up, can't go 8 hours straight, every day, for a week, just doing the same thing. You need activity breaks, etc. Places that are extremely boring, and overly repetitive (firemaking, etc), try to have more activity breaks, talking to friends, doing quests, etc. Even if you're only on 2 hours a day, if you only do agility for a year and not leave, it will be suspicious!

Some random consistency checks: Pretty straight forward. If you've never cut trees for more than 3 days straight, try to bot like that. Bot like you would play. Figure these out yourself, there's lots of them
Here's a few ones people don't always think about:
Music Volume
Graphics settings.

Previous offenses and linked accounts: This is a major one that people don't seem to ever care about. If you get banned for botting, jagex can EASILY track all accounts to ever be traced to that IP. Even if you logged into an account once, a year ago, when you were on a different IP, but logged into the account that is now banned for macroing on that IP too, that account is most likely flagged as a possible botter. That includes all IPs that account has logged into, and all IPs and accounts that have been accessed from IPs of that IP! It's hard to say how deep jagex will continue this web, but it allows for some easy kills with this. Honestly the only way to avoid this is to make a completely brand new account, on a whole new IP, and don't ever log into any other accounts, etc. This can be a huge setback, and many players aren't willing to do this. I found out that it sure was worth it! Give jagex no previous information on my account, and they're less hasty to ban me for macroing, even if they have a bit of suspicion that I am!

HTTP Headers: Another funny one, that is VERY easy to break. Whenever you visit a page, the last website you were on, your web browser, operating system, IP, screen size, and MANY other things are sent to the server! So if you're on kbot.info, and decide to go to runescape.com, it will tell runescape.com you just came from the kbot.info website! I can guarantee 95% of this community gets banned because of this, and it's easy to avoid! Just whenever you want to visit RS, open a new tab with no backwards history, and navigate to runescape! Or do what others do, use ONLY the official runescape client!

Account Information: Giving away stats, usernames, etc, can be VERY bad. As robotz in disguise as proven, even giving away 9 stats can be as dangerous as giving away your username! Buying membership from previous credit cards, paypal accounts, etc, that have been used to buy membership for botting accounts can be a hint too! Be careful!

Anti-Ban: Download an Auto-Talker. Add it to your scripts using this help site: Adding Scripts!
Next, run it every time you use RSBots to bot. After that ONLY go to Quick Chat worlds. No one talks in QC worlds and they can not accuse you of botting!!!!


Random Facts and tips:

1. Don't bot with no gear on (thanks to Royal Noobi)
2. Avoid world 100-172 as many bots go to these worlds and are targeted by bot hunter (thanks to Royal Noobi)
3. Places such as Soul Wars do not give you random events.Which is why you always see people auto-alching there. (thanks to Jeff.)

I got 1 things I don't get it. WHat is a ban wave.

 

jagex send out massive groups of people in search of bots.
also most of the time, jagex put little flags on botters, and then ban them. Thhis way i think they catch more botters. might be myth
