WTF? how'd this happen??

How the hell this happen?? i was alching then i get off for awhile to take a nap and i come back nd my accounts in lumbridge wit my 65m bank gone..? How would this happen if i never give out my account info to anyone? The account it was on, i bought few days ago but could the owner done this if the password is still the same? Im pissed and confused right now and trying to figure out what happened.. I used rsbuddy on that account but i didnt put my pass on it.
Anyone got any ideas how this happened? i dont say u gave someone ur info because i really didnt i jus got this account

Na couldn't be that beacuse i was in lummy bank with some items out of my bank and before i autoalched i put my money into my bank so someone hada go on my account, still wonderin how?

 

What do you mean you just got the account? As in you bought it or just made it? If you had recently purchased the account then it is likely that the seller recovered. If not the only other explanation is what the people above me are saying. It has been reported before that certain bots have mistakenly dropped people's things. It may of also been a corrupt bot.

 

As in i just bought it off a player but if so how'd he change it back to my pass? and dont think the bot did it because i turned it off and wasn't running it while i was sleeping.

 

I'm not too familiar with Jagex's new recovery system but I am assuming he recovered the password using the recovery questions. Then possibly putting it back to the password that he sold the account to you with. I'm not quite sure, but anyways sorry to hear about your loss.

 

You were scammed. The person who sold it to you recovered the account. Always remember that the original owner cal ALWAYS recover it.

 

Fucking hate all the people not even reading the OP. No one recovered it! When you recover an account the password gets reset, this is universal with almost all online password recovery systems.

So here are a few questions for me to ask OP and I'll tell you what happened.

When you logged on the account was the last IP address logged in yours?
Did you have a bank pin? (If not then why the fuck not)

Most likely case (since you said you turned the bot off) is that you got key logged or phished or you had a very easy password to guess

 

Either phished, RATd or keylogged. Take your pick.

As the above poster said the account was not recovered as password wasn't reset, but if they had your new password then they wouldn't need to reset it to access the account.

Why don't you have a bank pin dude.. This would of saved your ass. Lesson learnt?

 

You got screwed, maybe the bot guessed you Bank Pin logged into your banked then you got a random event, teleported you into a dangerous area then you died?... No idea tbh.

Why do people still not alch in soul wars?

 

i was alching at soul wars .. and i used Garyhood's auto clicker that might of been it bt ive alwyas been using that..nd i know im slippin for not having a bank pin, it was pending. i scanned my computer for viruses and i got none, if i had a keylogger wudnt it show up? and man hopefuly this dont happen again
whats some good way to prevent this from happenin again cuz this was soo unexpected

Anyways if the password wasn't changed and stuff it almost seems like you got Phished maybe key logged of some sort. Scan your computer and what not.

 

That's why you auto alch @ lumbridge cellar, or go to Soul Wars in the waiting areas.

the alleged scammer couldnt have recovered your account while your bot was running. it would have said "please wait 1 min as you have not logged off your last session" or something

 

Must have been your mom who sniped your items when you were taking a nap. Lol, jk...but seriously does anyone else in your household play rs?
