Microsoft bought Skype for $8.5B USD.

So was it worth for microsoft to buy skype for that high price?

The co-founders of skype comes from sweden and they got $1.19B together!

 

Probably a good idea on Microsofts part, Skype is popular and growing.

 

I think it was a good idea for what Microsoft did.. Skype is becoming popular now.

 

Holy shit.. had no idea Skype was that big lol. Hopefully Microsoft doesn't fuck it up. They'll probably integrate it into Xbox Live somehow, like they do with everything.

 

It'll go downhill if it starts crashing like Windows Live, which I'm assuming will happen.

Never been much of a Skyper myself.

as anything, it is a risk.

but in the end it is probably a good investment

 

I just hope they will keep everything free.

 

Hopefully it won't be like when NewsCorp bought Myspace and then it just died.

 

I like skype. It's probably enchance the future of technology anyways.
