Gas prices

Well gas prices seems to be going up and up. Where I live (USA), It's $4.20/gallon. That's outrageous! People are saying that it will hit $5.00+/Gallon in summer. What do you guys think about this? Sucks for us teens who are driving

 

Yeah it sucks, and there's nothing much we can do about it. Gas prices are going to continue to go up as long as we're relying on gas.

 

Its up to about $3.90 where I live right now but will probably continue to go up.

 

About $4.30 where I'm at.

This is outrageous, I remember when they were about $1.50-2$.

Yeah gas prices are getting pretty ridiculous but it's our own fault. Although they WILL rise to 5$+ a gallon economy theorists also say we won't see it under 3.20$ ever again in our life time. I've already taken it upon myself to get an electric car

 

Fuck gas prices.

The news said yesterday there's a chance of it going down but I wonder how much, there's some good articles on google.

 

Lol, it's $1.50 right now and everyone's complaining.

But keep in mind Aussie Dollar is stronger than American.

People need to learn how to invest in more efficient friendly ways of transportation, my electric car gets 100 miles before I need to fill up and I live/work in my city so I will never go more than 100 miles. My electric bill has gone up 15$ a month so basically I pay 15$ a month in gas.

 

HAH. Gas was $4.49 this weekend in Chicago. People are saying $5.00 for the summer? AT leas $5.50 is my guess.

It's like, do I want a pack of cigarettes or a gallon of gas? same price practically.

 

You do know that the batteries in Electric cars are really expensive once they get used up right? Not to mention, you can't even dispose of them properly.

Well an electric car as a whole isn't cheap. There are also places to trade in your used batteries for discounts on new ones, just like how people trade in games at stores.

 

That's true. I guess it evens out and you save more.

 

If someone has the money I'd definitely recommend investing in one, you'd never have to pay for gas again if you keep it local.

 

i heard on the news this morning they predict a 10 cent decline because of oil prices dropping (in Australia anyway)

Yes its 3.99 here in washington. Its time to break out the shoeburus. (subarus or however you spell that car company)

 

What about the oil we have in alaska? When will that be used?
