Poll: Scimitar's look old one or new one?

I like the look of the old one much better. The new one isn't bad, in my opinion it's really just the way your character holds it that makes it look kinda weird.

 

Old definitely, same with monk robes.





Same with whips,

I think the whip looks better now. What I think they are doing is maybe Jagex is trying to make their graphics compete with WoW. If they could do that then people would eventually have to pay more for membership.

In reference to Rage, i'm glad someone found that entertaining!

 

The old scimitar! It was always my f2p pking weapon of choice. The new one, as others have mentioned, looks awkward...

 

I think the results speak for themselves. I also disagree with what they did to the tutorial island. Voice overs, seriously? What happened to mining ores, making a bar and a dagger, then maging chickens?

 

Yeah, the new tutorial is horrible. It barely even covers half of the F2P skills. It's much more overwhelming for a newbie to get into RS now, than it was back in the day.

 

The old tutorial was sweet you could train everything to level 3!

 

That's one of the big issues: They think they're helping new players, when, in reality, they're hurting them. Now, they start knowing pretty much nothing about training skills, except the tidbit they get with either Mining or Woodcutting(whichever they choose). Imo, that's a reason why usually they usually expect to be handed stuff...they don't get taught a damn thing.

They even took out Romeo and Juliet, because it supposedly was part of a bad 'first impression'. *sigh*


Anyways, back to the topic. I don't see why a change was really needed in the first place, except maybe the coloring being changed to fit the HD feel.

 

Ahh, multicolored shades of the weapon such as a Rune Scimitar with a darker blue and a lighter blue?

 

I miss the old one.

 

The majority does that's why we need someone to do something about it. :/
