Got 400$ worth of Lacrosse Gear Stolen

I made a stupid mistake by quitting at two weeks left, and didn't even bother getting my gear from the locker room(We have to buy our own gear)... It ended up getting stolen, the entire fucking nike duffle bag with 420$ worth of gear..

It hurts a lot considering that your parents bought it for you... and knowing that some idiot thief now has it...

Anyone have any tips on what i should do? Im filing a report with the school deputy on monday..

My friend had his stick stolen and he realized one of the seniors had put it up on a overhead pipe. I would look around the school.

Go to some lax practices and see if anyone has it.

 

I don't think the school would be able to do much, things get stolen all the time from gym locker rooms >_<

 

yea they claim that they are not responsible for any lost/stolen goods. Thats why when you report a stolen ipod, they dont peruse it

 

Yeah, schools are not responsible. It's a shame that people steal for no reason. If you had ID tags or something that you can spot out who is using it. Most people that steal are very stupid.

 

Something like this came up at my school, though it wasn't sports equipment that was stolen, someone stole one of our teachers wallets with $400 in it. So for my advice, the best thing to do is to file a report to the school, and possibly the police. Since it was sports gear, I believe they'll have an easier way to search who did it because most likely it was someone on the lacrosse team. I guess this is also a life lesson, take care of your stuff.

 

I've had a phone stolen from me back when I was in highschool and at that point I didn't even bother reporting it, they probably get atleast 2-3 people a day who report stolen goods and all the reply with is "tough luck" :/

 

The only you can do is report it and see what happens. You can try to scout out who you think might have it.

 

lacrosse ain't even that popular just go watch games and if u say some asshole with ur bat and bag kick their ass

 

one of my friends phones got stolen once and we knew it was a teachers son who did it but we had no proof, other than the fact he had a new phone the next day and the teacher simply said "Tough Luck" two days later somebody jacked the teachers car up and stole the tires :/ she comes and asks us one of my friends yell out "Tough luck.." lol suspended for stupidity

To the OP just report it and ask around if your school doesn't have cameras I doubt you will get it back. Or put up a small reward for it. It might just "show up" lol other than that I doubt you can get it back

 

Thief most likely sells the stuff right away to unaware customers. Confronting is the best thing to do, don't just jump to conclusions.

Lol i don't... theres like 35-45 players on both JV and Varsity combined and we share same locker room.

I talked to the deputy via phone and he might consider checking the cameras.. Im gonna ask people if they noticed when my entire bag was missing from my locker room, and they can probably narrow down the parkinglot camera videos to that time period to see if anyone brought the gear to their car.
