Quick Question - Would I be in the wrong?

Let me explain the situation.
I purchased 3 diablo 2 cd keys and 3 diablo 2 : lord of destruction cd-keys... For 9 games on steam (that were gifted to his account)
He scammed me, logged off etc etc.
I had a friend contact him being a potential buyer and he said things like "Well you haven't paid this guy yet"
The scammer contacted me after I paid him, and he scammed me and said "How about two copies?"
I said yes, purely because I don't want to get %100 fucked... So I gave him full payment for 2/3rds of what I was expecting?

Would I be in the wrong to recover three games?

 

Well to be brutally fair.

You had a 'Social Contract' if you like, to purchase x for y.
You gave x but did not receive y.
End of discussion, he's in the wrong.

You then re entered another 'Contract' agreeing to settle for 2 copies instead of the original 3.

Personally, it could be argued both ways, however I would personally recover the three games simply because, a) he initially scammed you. and b) because he pressured you into the second deal, rendering it void.

Not sure on Sythes definitive stance on this, however I'd see no wrong in recovering only the three games, but it's borderline.
