F2p to P2p [Banning]

Just thought I would throw a thread out here and see what you guys think about the ratio of f2p players getting banned in comparison to p2p?

Do you think it matters whether your paying or not?

What accounts have you had banned, why do you think?


I was just interested in the difference between banning of f2p and p2p, post your bans!

Well, In my experience.

I suicided a bot on F2P for 2 weeks, and got a permanent ban.
I suicided numerous bots on P2P for months, and got a 2 week suspension.

Jagex Perms f2p without a doubt, but suspends p2p.

I think they favor the p2p a little bit more, but why wouldnt they?

 

there in it for the money so yea.
f2p = alot higher chance of ban
p2p = temp ban or even a membership rollback

 

What is a membership rollback? Never heard of it.

 

f2p = higher chance of perm p2p = usually temp

 

it also depends on wut u bot

botting goldfarming skill such as black demons or frost dragons= perm

botting goldfarming such as sorc garden= term

botting goldfarming such as f2p cutting yews= perm

botting pure f2p= perm

botting pure p2p= term

 

Sorry if this is hijacking or not, but I felt there was no need for another thread.

Does payment METHOD mean anything? I.e. do I have a better/worse chance of being banned if I use a creditcard with auto-renew as opposed to a card/upgrade?

 

Jagex doesn't give a shit about p2p bots, they won't hesitate to ban f2p bots cuz they don't pay. They will only ban p2p bots if a massive amount of people report a botting account.

I wish I knew that, do they even look at that when they ban an account? I wish we knew these questions but they are interesting to think about, ya know?

 

Been wondering the same thing. I currently have a level 94 maxed zerker that is 99% botted. I've even used free bots from RSBuddy for Cooking/FMing and WCing. Never had a ban/rollback.

The logical answer would be that they prefer CC subscriptions since they know you're planning on playing as a member for a long time.

 

both get banned but p2p is usually more likely to be temp and f2p more likely to be perm

 

f2p is easier to be banned in and is always perm

 

F2P are useless to Jagex, there going to perm ban them if they find you botting.

 

They obviously favor the the pay 2 play members more. People also suicide bot more on f2p than p2p.

 

I would have to say F2P. First there is more overall, so more will be banned. Second, there is a much smaller range of things you can bot for money in F2P, so it is much easier to hunt down bots, where in P2P the RS world is MUCH larger and that would obviously make manually finding people / bots harder.

Heard stories about peoples accounts being in a negative membership state.
so lets say you need to purchase a month of membership to not be in debt, and then another month for normal membership.
