I'm under the impression that once the money is in your bank account, it cannot be taken out of the bank by paypal. So you're safe in that aspect. Although paypal can make your account go into negative credit, which will intern limit your account, preventing you from ever having another paypal under your name again. I also think that if you have a credit card linked to your paypal account, Paypal is legally allowed to chase you up.

No need to do it until you have confirmed negative balance. (If they win the case and you lose the money)

I was sent an echeck by an unregistered user and it will not clear until atleast May 9th, the person was brand new here trying to buy gold and after I said I cannot give you gold until it clears, but will let an MM hold it until it clears he logged out. Since then he has not been back on msn or sythe. I will refund this once it clears but I dont want to hit refund now and then have the echeck bounce and go negative. My biggest fear is this noobie trying to say I scammed him, my second is PP coming after me for the money if something goes wrong. Help?

EDIT He claimed it back so nevermind, although hes on again and trying to buy again! LOL!

Ok so lets say I have a Paypal account with credit card on it.
That CC has a special limit you can use as 3euros.
If someone sends me money, I will send it to my credit card and then remove CC from my Paypal.
Now someone disputes their money back and paypal goes into minus balance.
Can Paypal take the money off my CC somehow or I can feel safe?

    2. Also if I have account with name like BARACK OBAMA can I withdraw to the CC that is owned by lets say VLADIMIR PUTIN?

If left long enough, Paypal gives the account issue to their tax collection agency and they look into it. They will most likely figure out who you are by the previous credit card and it just gets messy from there.

You most likely can at first, but I assume their system would eventually detect your fraud and limit you. Paypal is very annoying about other people being on your paypal account. Even if you log onto paypal from a friend's ip, they usually just assume your paypal was stolen..

I wrote this to paypal and ve called them too :
This guy is stupid he has sent 2 payments from two different paypal, this guy is busting himself, that explains why he is scamming other people how pathetic you can easily look on his two different paypals with two different mails with probably two same IP ( which he has probably cahnged now so he can get his money back )
Please guys try to think on this, this guy is a threat for Paypal , he uses a method to scam which is called Paypal reverse payment!!

Why would he send many different payments if i scammed him ( according to him) if he didnt get his thing after the first payment he wudnt keep sending the money to me, since he has done 10 minutes paus between every payment. Please Paypal 922 $ is much , he is a threat for paypal he isnt a good guy he is a scammer.

( the two guys who has sent is the same guy he uses a hacked paypal acc to get his money back this method is very clear, he is a threat please please try to reconsider everything , youse your knowledge 922 $ is way to much for me, he has gotten everything he want so that will make me lose 1800$ in total since he payed for what he got you can also see his payments he has done over 12 payments which clearly states that he recieved what he got if he didnt recieve it he wouldnt keep sending money to me.)

Anything dealing with virtual goods Paypal offers no real support to, if the buyer had the payment sent by CC, you will most likely lose the money and the reversal will go through.

You can try calling them up and explaining the situation, worth a shot.

Hey guys recently I got scammed by some one doing increments for a payment,

They sent the complete payments in increments but the next day when I logged onto paypal it said the funds have been "held" and the buyer said they were not in control of there account at the time it had been stolen.
Is there anyway im going to keep my money or will their dispute win?

Edit: also there paypal is verified will that make any difference?

Does claiming and canceling ensure that the money cannot be recovered from my paypal?

If it is not credit card funded, that pretty much guarantees your safety. If it is by credit card, no matter if they C&C, the money can be taken back.

Getting payments received or sent in increments flags the account as suspicious activity and Paypal locks the account as a security measure. Only way you are going to be able to get it back is by sending information like a bank statement or drivers license to prove to them you own the account.

If the person said that they were not in control of their account when the money was sent, you were most likely scammed. Paypal does not support virtual goods and because of that 90% the buyer gets his money back.
