    yes a 6 pack is nice.. but it does nothing if you look like a wimp with a shirt on. go hit the gym bro.. you cant have one area on your body all muscular and other parts with none

    ^ p.s. the apft is a joke. a 2 mile run? its not even a challenge. When i took it i score a 340 (yes im in the army) and especially with this new apft coming out. (dont even want to start on about that joke)

    Last 5 mile i ran it in 34 minutes ;)

    oh and im not scrawny. im 5'10 185 lbs.

    No, im not getting six pack for army, why would you think that? And I do pushups, I do morning runs for cardio and shit.

    When you're aiming for a 6 pac, all those glorified "10min" ab exercises are useless and futile, e.g crunches, sit-ups etc; EVERYTHING must have a variation, or it will take you years to see results. 90% of the people have suggested the most pointless and stupid shit. Your diet is the underlying factor.

    You cant isolate your abs only and hope that they become lean and trim. Your WHOLE body has to loose those extra calories and turn it into muscle. Hence you need to work on your whole body and core. Also remember, your body growth and testosterone is amplified when you do lower body workouts, e.g. leg press, squats (with weights) etc.

    I suggest you do, for your abs and whole mid section / core:

    First Phase:

    AB work out, 7 moves, x3 - 20 reps per exercise;



    Side to side push up, x15
    triangle push up, x15
    Pull Ups, x30

    Second Phase:

    Dumbell fly's, x10 (floor)
    bent over side lateral fly's, x10
    dumbell front raise, x10
    dumbell good mornings, x10

    AB work out, 7 moves, x3 - 20 reps per exercise;




    Alternate every second day between phase 1 and 2. Bare in mind, this is all useless if your diet is shit

    Or.. you can always just download p90x, and after 90 days you'll look amazing.

    If you do at least 10-15 Pull ups a day (Perfect pull up or Iron gym) you will start to see definition develop in your stomach basically start to get a 2 pack after 1-3months or to speed it up go ahead and do 10 pulls ups off and on each day. I started doing pull ups about 4 years ago in the winter time come summer I had a rock hard 6pak, Now 4years later I still do pulls ups & push ups I now have an 8 pack. But Good Luck on that.

    I assure you running & cardio won't do very much for your abs it'll make you lose weight and then you have to push harder for them to show & build. once you get your stomach flat no point in running just do pull ups, sits up can help but they won't help after your abs have pushed out like mine. Btw you don't need a 6 pack for the army.. have you seen the shape most soldiers are in?

    Pull ups are not for Abs.

    OT: Gain muslce in your midsection then cut to less than 10% BF for visible Abs.

    Then you have not developed any as I know what I'm talking about Pull ups as in CHIN UPS, & starvation no, don't be stupid. of course my phone camera sucks I sold my i phone 4. but you can keep being jealous a lot of ppl are but not the girls, they especially like to touch & feel. Yeah I am skinny use to be really that has to do with my high metabolism then I decided to work out I got muscles pal. a lot of it and that muscle has a lot to do with my body weight now

    don't criticize until you can show proof of yourself you're not some nerd on here with a fat stomach.

    Have you ever done pull ups lol? After back day (which includes weighted and body weight pull ups) my abs are sore as hell

    See, prove that idiot wrong. bet he can't even do 2, I can do 30+ alone w/o stopping. I'm telling you pull ups WILL get you the abs, then once you got them sculpted best not stop doing pull ups or you'll suck at em. but once you can do about 20 w/o stopping start learning to do corn cob pull ups
    oh and prepare to get calisas on your hands (idk how to spell that word)

    Believe it or not, you actually do have a six pack, but those last two abs are just covered with a beer belly. ;)

    Yeah guys, you shouldn't starve yourself whilst attempting to get a 6 pack. Proper nutrition is required.

    Good luck and post a picture every 1-2 weeks.
