After last nights performance, i think Diaz would totally destroy gsp, just saying.

 

I didn't think the fight was terrible. It could have been worse. He got a knuclke to the eye, ala Sakara-Irvin. It was a well placed knuckle.

I wouldn't go that far. I think it would be a huge challenge for GSP though. I am more interested in Jones-Silva now, then GSP-Silva

 

I would like to see a Jones title defense first. Alot of fighters get less wild once they become champions.

 

Same here, especially since he is with Jackson. Btw, Jones is out at 133 against Evans. Its Evans-Davis. Also they are targeting Aldo-Mendes for the Co-main/main.

 

They are trying to move Davis a bit too fast imo. Hes gonna have trouble vs Rashad with his raw striking.

Mendes is a tough opponent so it'll be a good fight there.

 

Agreed. Davis looked really bad vs oguera. Failed so many take down attempts, Jones never failed

 

They have noone else though. Davis even said beforehand he wanted to wait a while to fight again, but he was the only one after Jones got hurt.

Tbh, he failed until he started single legs, which I think he was 5-5 on single leg takedowns.

Yup, and singles are very underused in MMA.

However Davis just doesnt have it in him yet . I think Evans will take it

 

He is going to surprise people, I am going to say that. Davis didn't look good against Nog, but it took Bader quite a bit of time to get Nog down too. Besides Nog is a very tough guy. Singles are very under utilized. Handy used a single on Fat fuck toney Even though i could take him down lol.

 

Lol Toney has no defense VS that. he aint no GsP. I want to see Davis throw kicks, his legs look great. I think he should add leg kicks ot his arsenal.

 

He does throw kicks, I just think he was tentative against Nog. Nog has a very good standup game except against Sokodjou.
I think it would do Davis a lot of good to go train up at Roufus-Sport. A great gym where he can learn good kicks from Roufus and Pat Barry.

 

he doesnt throw the big time kicks. I mean, kicking VS Evans will be something Evans wont be expecting. I suggest Davis to take it to the ground when he can to demoralize Rashad. Davis defintely has better ground control so it'll be good laying on top of Rashad.

 

Rashad tdd hasn't been tested really. I think this will be a striking fight, which Rashad has better of, but his chin isn't that strong.
Rashad has a very good ground game, he just doesn't fight off his back much, which he will train on this fight, because Davis will get him down somehow.

 

Considering Davis is the better wrestler, its not he'll get him down somehow, but that he WILL get him down. I havent seen rashad off his back alot, so i think he'd be rusty there

 

Very true. Rashad's defensive wrestling isn't that good either, plus Davis BJJ is getting better all the time. He needs to get his striking up to par as his bjj though. His Wrestling will always be the best of his game.

 

Yeah, and Davis is explosive when he needs to be. Taking Davis down will be hard, and keeping him down even HARDER. Hes so good on the ground because he doesn't have a fear of being sweep'd. Being a Division champion inst just being a NCAA all-american, its being the person sitting on top.

Rashad has to keep this fight standing. And that alone should propel Davis to get his striking game together. Davis has KO power and should get it going in his tank.

I think Davis could grind a decision tho.

 

I hope Davis wins, but I think Rashad is going too. Btw, 3 weeks until 130: Who you have, Maynard or Edgar? I personally think BJ is hoping Edgar loses to come down and beat Maynard

Rashad wont win if davis goes in their at his best. The best Davis > the Best Rashad.

Both of them are gonna have trouble Vs Bones tho. Its funny right? all black people xD

I think you are wrong on Rashad. The best Rashad is > than Davis. Davis is still very raw. And Rashad has a lot better striking than Davis, and Davis' chin is still questionable.
Maynard is the better wrestler, but I think Frankie wins via UD.
I personally believe Rampage will give Jones problems, IF he shows up like he can.
