    Is boxing (stake) dead??

I consider myself a very experienced player. Been playing 5+ years(vet cape woooo) and am pretty versed about all in-game content.

One thing I particular FAIL miserably at is box staking. I'm maxed melee, 99 att/str/def/hp and I'm confused. I'm confused at how I've managed to lose 10 box stakes in a row. I'm confused at how other people are winning millions upon millions in a fairly CONSISTENT manner. I, to this day, have a net loss of 400m at stakes. I've NEVER won a stake over 10m. I've NEVER had a net gain of more than 20m after 5 stakes. I've NEVER won more than 3 stakes in a row.

Now, I'm not naive. I realize there are cheaters and glitchers out there. This is obvious. But what about the players that do it legitimately? How are they doing it? I see threads on these forums where players rent out maxed melee accounts and make millions upon millions with them.

I make this thread in a vain attempt at grabbing someone whom has some expertise in this field who is willing to offer some advice. If I find any of your tips to be legitimate then I will bestow you with a large amount of wealth (10m minimum depending on how legit it is).

It has something to do with who gets the first hit in, and the attack sytles that you use. Just like with a weapon, the style you use effects the outcome of the hits:

    Attack: You hit more consistently,
Strength, you hit higher, less common then attack,
Defence: you take less damage, but do less damage.

Apparently if you switch at the right time, you can get a conjunction of hidden boosts, eg. Attack mode just as you hit them switch to def when they hit you etc.

I'm no pro staker, but I believe this is what's taking place. Personally, I'd try PM'ing "Christmas Cracker", he knows his staking stuff.

Thanks, I'll definitely hit him up. Also, if anyone here wants I'm definitely willing to have some fun match boxing sessions so we can practice/perfect our strategy.

When you are maxed, it all comes down to luck. However switching attack styles do help you win.

Here is a vid from "Just un Dude" from this site. He is a pro staker and does a lot of boxing. This vid highlights the switch styles technique. It is the only thing that gives the slightest bit of edge in maxed boxing, unless someone is glitching.

People could be glitching. Don't think thats your problem though. Its probably kids who style switch or get first hit because of a lower Pid? Or maybe your just unlucky man. Log out and do something else.

Tbh first hit in box staking can't matter that much. when punching you probably get 20-25 hits per duel. an extra hit doesn't matter that much.

I know just what your talking about OP. I had a maxed account and I could own anyone and everyone in soul wars. But the second I set foot in a duel arena I couldn't beat anyone my level or even a few levels lower. I never did find out why or how. It's like playing in members and being able to own pretty hard then when you go to f2p clan wars, it's all about luck.

Despite common belief, boxing is not entirely 50/50 luck.

Whoever gets the first hit already has the upper advantage.
The attack styles effect the way everything is registered, and whichever style you have relative to your opponents can give you an edge.

It is not heads or tails luck, there is more to it. I'd say it's around 35% Luck, and 65% Skill.

But those styles really give a good advantage, if you watch what he's doing he's putting his style to block when his opponent strikes him, then alternating between the punch and kick styles when he is striking, which enables him to manipulate the system and attain both benefits.

I can say that boxing is over 90% luck, if you're staking the same stats.

The only thing that matters is the end result.
You need to have a system for yourself in order to end up with a positive end result, profit. I do not care if I lose X amount of stakes in a row, I will still profit so if you lose a stake that is perfectly fine.

It's about the techniques you use about how much and frequently you stake, not so much about what you do during a box stake.

    Edit:

I have been doing small stakes only 1-200M (mostly 5-50M) and have ended up with 600M profit yesterday.
Today I'm also at 600M profit and am going for the 900M or 1 bill hopefully, what I do is very low risk.

Even if you lose more stakes when you win it doesn't matter it depends on the amounts, it's all a system of odds which you need to find a pattern in.

    To further clarify...

    Accurate: +3 Attack levels
    Aggressive: +3 Strength levels
    Defensive: +3 Defence levels
Controlled: +1 Attack level, +1 Strength level and +1 Defence level

Note that these boosts are invisible.

    that's stupid as shit.

You realize w/ a weapon...set on Strength mode, you will hit more than on attack? and you will hit more often when using the Attack Style rather than the Defense, it's common sense...

    Switching styles work.

Let me guess, you use the martingale method (double every time you lose). I did that too, got to 900m then lost 8 in a row and got cleaned. Martingale ALWAYS leads to bankruptcy eventually. If you use a different method though, pm me and I'll subscribe to you, I'd love to know it :p
