Tobey Mcguire will not play Spiderman in the next spiderman movie! (In 2012)

weird...I wonder how the new transformers will be without Megan Fox :\

 

I was going to say it's way too soon for a reboot, but then I look at the Batman series. Batman and Robin was 97 and Batman Begins was 05, that's 8 years which is how long it's been since the first Spiderman.
They best make dramatic changes to it though or I really don't see the point

Toby was so shit in number 3 it wasn't even appealing, he can't strut around looking like the man so why try? he just looked retarded. I do however dislike when they change characters in movies and expect us not to notice, give evy in the mummy for instants a glance, was so terrible why didnt rachel do it *SadFace*

This. At first I was like "No... way too soon, the spiderman trilogy was just released.", but the more I thought about it the more it made sense. The Batman reboot was incredibly successful. This could turn out the same way, even better.

As long as it doesn't turn into some hipster emo spiderman with over exaggeration on the love story part of things, it could do really, really well. If they turn it into a love story with the super hero part being simply a 'bonus', it will fail. Spiderman 1-3 had a pretty good balance between the super hero parts and love story between him and MJ.

....but really, let's be honest. The first spiderman was GREAT, the second was good, and the third was just bad. They started trying to cram like 5 villains into one movie and do things just to please the dumbasses who don't REALLY like the movie. They just tried to appeal to the majority of idiots who just want a fast paced movie with lots of action and no story.

All in all, a reboot could honestly be the best thing to happen to this series. Only time will tell though.
