Team up with player auctions?

Sythe.org should possibly partner up with player auctions? Player auctions has such a high success rate for good trades so it would be so much safer to do trades like that. For example, when I am trying to sell rsgp, I only sell via player auctions and whenever people contact me on msn, 98% of the people that contact me instantly block me when I mention player auctions because they are SCAMMERS.

What do you guys think about this?

 

Just because they dont use playerauctions does not mean anything. For a seller player auctions is the worst thing on earth with the amount of money player auctions takes as there cut. Personally i would never sell anything via player auctions, your best bet is to just search player auctions and do your transactions with people who have it set up already.

 

Like shortperson said, PA's fees are ridiculously high. Just because someone doesn't want to use PA doesn't mean they have intent to scam; However, I would recommend using PA when trading with new members, or people with few vouches.

 

I'm not saying force it upon EVERY SYTHE MEMBER, but perhaps have a built in option on sythe that would make it a lot easier, like being able to use our sythe account with PA etc. Personally I like PA because I'd rather be charged a small fee than get scammed, but thats just me I guess..

 

ill have to agree with Mrduckysr, Pa fees are just nuts.

 

You can make your own customers use player auctions but it shouldn't be the only way to trade on Sythe because sellers wouldn't want to trade here because of the higher fees.

I would love something more like:

Sythe users have 70% less fees -> Now that's a suggestion!

Yeah, it'd be great if it could happen, But I just don't see it being possible. Although to the OP, I strongly recommend you using PA for all trades, one big chargeback is enough to ruin everyone, it's not worth the risk.

For Runescape gold as a seller, the fees are: 10% + $2. Or for your first 5 sales: 5% + $2

 

For small amounts, I think PA should not be used. Waste of time, to be honest. Fees are high, and so on.

But in the other hand, for bigger amounts, I suggest using PA due to you do not have to care about being chargebacked. Even if the fees are high, it is well worth it for a huge amount.

The PA system can be confusing to those who are less experienced in the virtual blackmarket. That site has many clients and I doubt they would be really interested in cutting their fees more than 10-20%

 

lol dude I never said FORCE, I simply suggested that we could add it as an OPTION for more FREE CHOICE on the forums. If sythe could get a nice deal going with player auctions (about the fees) I think it would be a long and beautiful relationship

 

Or Sythe could create their own system, it'd require some time investment by the admins but they'd get even richer!

 

This also is a possibility but yes anything to stop the scamming. I'm honestly afraid to sell my gp to anyone here on sythe because of the fear of being scammed or having them chargeback.

 

I'm afraid such system won't ever be implemented in Sythe, but as I said, it would be good if Sythe users had lower fees on pA

 

PA's fees are gay. Wouldn't you just use a OMM ?

 

OMMs can't prevent a chargeback after trade is done.
