I ran into this clan called wefightge. It was owned by two people named 1-800-DBOW and Fire Afrit. They would take investments and flip items for you. 7-10 days later, your money would be doubled and you could cash out. After seeing this, I automatically thought SCAM SCAM. but, after about a week of observing them, they seemed legit. I decided to test them out with a super small investment of 5m. A couple days later, they disappeared off the face of runescape, making 20b+ profits from scamming 1000+ members. I reported them both, but you know how jagex is... I'm just praying they get perm banned for what they did. any thoughts?

yeah, i'm thankful for that. but 20b+ scammed? if jagex doesn't ban these guys i'll loose all faith in them.

 

Jagex already made lots of moves against them, check their forums, lots of warning about sucha merchanting clans.

 

It simply proves that they've successfully manipulated a bunch of idiots. Such deception demands recognition.

 

you got what you deserved -- if you don't understand HOW they are doubling your money or you think its a scam, why would you voluntarily hand them your money ... and then you claim its jagex's fault for not stopping idiots from giving these people money? If i was jagex I wouldn't do anything either.

Before FT was back, I used to help WeFightGE, Top Rises, Gp Family, GodsofGE, Hero Merch.

Only 1 of those used to scam the members, and that was Gp_Family (Once I found out, I left)

Gp Family's leader, Bla_saige433, used to dump on his own ranks, then kick them. He would tell a rank to "hold this and Ill buy on my pure" and he would never come back on.

All the other merch clans would hold their items until the due-dump price. Or the owners would buy the stock off everyone and continue to merch it themselves.

Everytime the items crashed, we did a item check on every member. Making sure they have the same/more than what they started with at the beginning of the merch. If they showed none/less, instant kick. Members could request to see owners items, and owners would show.

Also, the owners are merchers. Merch rare items, and would be able to dump an item quickly once it's crashed.


So.. about your problem with WeFightGE, Those are the new owners. Fire Afrit is a cool guy, if you meet him tell him 2pe said hi.
And as for 1800, he's a douche.

 

Least you learn your lesson with pixels rather than real money.

I was in hero merch to christmas for about 3-4 months, and their leader mikehershey didnt care for me.

But he for some reason adored my friends and made him a Gen in like 4 days. And he always told him 2-3 days in advance when they were going to dump their items on the other members.

Mike and his ranks dumped on the clan several times.

Just saying. Hero Merch was never THAT legit.

As for the assholes who took peoples money, they are assholes ^_^

 

Hero Merch cc became a joke late in I believe October.
And soon later, Mike got banned for Hijacking, thus getting Hero_Merch banned as well.

 

It was previously owned by dr z pure and fire afrit, i was a rank in there, untill i got wrongly accused of dumbing early, was stuck with alot of junk that i couldnt get rid of

 

Ximthechamp3 used to own it when I helped out in there.
When Dr Z and Fire owned it, it was ok. But Xim made WFGE wellknown.

I used to help all ranks dejunk. I helped a lot, I believe I helped dejunk over 10bil overall in my time there.

 

i NEVER blamed jagex for this idiot. how about you read before you post.
and the reason why i gave them my money is because i actually believed that they were doing something good for people who don't know how to flip. i actually though they were legit. it was dumb choice.

but your logic makes ZERO sense. not everyone is as "smart" as you are, and if a group of individuals are manipulating people into giving them all of their cash i believe action should be taken against them. simple as that. stop being a troll and actually think about what you're saying. 10 year old kids are smart enough to not fucking get scammed. if i thought they were legit imagine what the little kids thought..

 

i believe this was originally a merching clan before the wildy and free trade returned, not suprised that they scammed but im sure that they will be dealt with accordingly

 

Just be glad it was only 5mill pixels money. Never trust something that seems to be too good, cause it most likely isn't legit.

Just know that people are naturally greedy so once things become too tempting for them, they'll break. Happened with Arbi :S

 

I can verify this.

He told me he mastered the scam and paid some people who helped him out.

I can't believe people were moronic enough to fall for it, even if they mostly were 10 years old.

 

What a genius scam, not!

 

Jagex doesn't have to do anything, you gave them your money. So they don't have to do anything.

Same goes for IRL, if you didn't sign anything, well, tough luck.
