    I was just questing and i dced randomly, logged back in and my name had changed? I typed something and it changed back to normal, WTF?

    It'll become to your display name within a few seconds after. I guess it's a lag betwin jagex's server and your computer.

    No it isn't my display name... My display name is completely different, look that guy up, im 96 summoning as you can see in the top right and he isn't.

    That happend to me ages ago. I forgot what it changed into, but i was in pc and while the screen was loading my display name was some main.

    Maybe it has to do with you taking his spot in the server. As in, you just logged in when he logged out. PID's exchanged?

    The same has happened to me numerous times. One time I added the guy whose name I had, and he said that his name had been mine for some time.
